I frequently visit this store, and the staff are very friendly and helpful, regardless of the abuse they receive when politely asking other customers to not consume another company's products on the premises. Ever the professionals, they are always a pleasure when I visit. Nothing but 5*
Dear Mr YF I have been in to the Kingswalk Costa and the Staff have been nothing but caring and friendly and Mr YF doesn't seem to understand the concept that it's not acceptable to bring food or drink in to another establishment, this is a form of corkage.
Here is a picture of the YF guy that accused two female staff members of being racist when they were just reinforcing the Costa company policy.

i have just stumble across your review of the costa coffee in Kings Walk Gloucester. Although i wasn't present for the situation that you encountered, i do visit this store on regularly for my moring coffee and find ALL the staff most helpful and warm welcoming. I cant imagine any of these staff would be racist when they accommodate for people of all gender orientations, all abilities, and all nationalities and creeds each time the next customer steps up to the till.
However, MR Y T, What i can presume from your review, that you thought you could pop over to Greggs and bring it to costa to eat it with your costa coffee?!
I am so sure that these 2 ladies explained to you that it is against company policy for you to bring you own food in to the establishment, as Costa coffee provide a food service.
This, Sir, applies to everyone, and thus cannot be racist. They did not single YOU out from anyone, let alone for the colour of your skin.
Sir, if you owned a restaurant and i brought in a Maccy D's just so i could have a beer in your establishment, don't you think you would be annoyed?
Both myself and the wife took up the free offer of your give away promotion coffee .we took the option of a large latte and paid the extra. Nice reward while out shopping. Cheers

I was on my way from North Wales to the South of England and made a short pit-stop here on my way. There was a friendly young lady behind the counter, who was alone and worked hard, but still was cheerful and smiling. It was enough to cheer you up.
Nice coffee and cakes and good service. Definitely be back.
Nice Costa to relax in when shopping can get busy when events on on but always good service
It was very busy when I arrived but the staff were super calm and got through everyone quickly. Fast to tidy up trays etc.
I went in there after getting my vaccine from boots and the staff were amazing. I was in there less than 5 minutes which was outstanding especially since the coffee was superb as always. The two people serving were very efficient and extremely kind. They went above and beyond to help me out when one of my gift cards was not working and even wrote and lovely message on the cup with stickers. Small details go a long way when down properly and they smashed this out of the park. Well done and thank you to the staff.
The lady who served me (Emma) was very friendly, kind and knowledgeable. I have always found the service to be prompt in this branch and your order is usually brought to your table. Excellent customer service and delicious treats.
My go to coffee stop!! Was lunch time so had a sandwich and a latte. Was nice, really enjoyed both!! The place was clean and tidy, not overly busy. Would recommend.
Lovely friendly staff on a Monday afternoon 27th June. Lady with blonde hair and guy with brownish hair were just rays of sunshines. Super friendly and nice. It’s people like this that make my day
