Kudos to the management here for moving to environmentally friendly cardboard containers.
Tasty, cheap food & friendly service.
Proper local chippy that's been part of the community for over 80 years.
The shop's been refitted and changed at least twice in my time but the service and quality of the food have both remained fantastic.
Good choice of food. Generous portions. Always hot. Never had a bad meal from here.

Best fish & chips we have ever had. Cooked fresh so no soggy chips and beautifully white cod in crunchy batter. Always busy but service was quick. Highly recomnend.

Ruddy's is a quality fish & chip shop with an excellent range of food on offer. It is well supported by the local community. I would go nowhere else.

Always a pleasure when coming here service is always good quality’s always there yes it may be pricey but you pay for what you get nowadays if you ring a head it’s always a friendly conversation and there always very pleased to help. Will be coming here for many years to come :)

2nd time we have popped in and it's one of the best in Gloucester 😁 the patty is amazing ,not keen on the curry sauce but hey that's only my preference 😁😂the chips are fabulous,the burger was scrummy ,
And the staff were lovely ,my hubby and I had a laugh 😂 see you all soon xx

Beautiful fish and chips yummy, this shop it immaculate as are the staff so nice to see a shop so clean , staff are polite and your order is quickly cooked fresh whilst you wait, great service.

"I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ruddy's fish and chips shop and I must say, it was batter than expected! The fish was perfectly flaky and the chips were crispy and flavorful. But the real surprise for me were the chicken nuggets - they were clucking amazing! I could tell they were made with real chicken and cooked to perfection.
To sum it up, Ruddy's is definitely a plaice you want to visit for some finger-licking good food. Don't be shellfish, bring your friends and family and enjoy a meal that's sure to make you smile!"

First time customer. I was very impressed by how bright and clean this chip shop was. Food was absolutely delicious and well worth the money. Plenty of staff and they were really professional. Will definitely be buying from here again. To be able to dine in would be really good. Only downside, is if you're a single person the portion sizes are quiet large and an option of just a cone of chips would be excellent.

Best cod and chips I've ever had. Cod was massive with crispy batter and succulent flesh... Perfect. They put in in a box which keeps the batter in good nick and it doesn't sweat up and go soggy like in other places nearby.
The only problem with it is that I have over indulged and now I can hardly move.
Also think it worth adding all the fish is cooked to order which is the only way you could achieve this quality.
The shop is spotless and the staff are really efficient and jovial giving the place a good atmosphere.
