Lunch here was fantastic! The fish was succulent and fresh with a crisp batter, and service was lovely in a cozy setting. I’d highly recommend anyone coming to Gloucester to drop by for a meal.
Honestly this was the best fish and chips I ever had in the UK. The battered sausage was as well a delicious surprise. They do their own batter which tastes amazing. With home made sauces, locally brews this is definitely a place that I will visit again and I highly recommend to anyone who is around Gloucester. I cannot forget about the location, a wonderful building which is a few hundred years old with a very warm and pleasant atmosphere. Last but not least I would like to say " thank you" to the staff for taking such a good care of us and making sure everything was perfect. Really great people.👏👏👏
We enjoyed a wonderful fish and chips meal. The batter was light and crispy, and the homemade tartar sauce delicious.
Service was excellent; friendly and efficient, and we felt that we were treated as honoured guests but also as family!

This is mainly a to go restaurant, but we tried their sit down area in the second floor and it was really nice.
There are tables by the front window. The food itself was well flavored and well battered. Get the sauces, especially the curry one. It goes well with the fish.
The fries are pretty good. Coke is good.
Bathroom has a smell. Service is okay, they're mainly busy with the to go part.
Feeling hungry after a rugby match, I decided to try this establishment as it is quite close to Kingsholm. It is a small tutor building with an upstairs restaurant attached to a busy take-away. I ordered plaice and chips and a beer to wash them down. Cannot fault the meal, the plaice was fresh and particularly delicious. Staff were attentive and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Gloucester.

Okay my turn to review this place. I enjoyed the chips. Fish was ok but seemed to have a lot of bones in part of it, and nicely battered. No problem with the pie... quite nice. I did think (and I know things are going up in price)... but £14+ seemed quite expensive for fish / chips and a pie

Great chippy! Consistently the best in Gloucester, and has been for years, even after changes in ownership / management. We mainly takeaway - once or twice a month on average - but on the odd occasion that we do decide to dine in, it’s always really good - the Tudor building provides a very different and quaint experience, and the staff are friendly and efficient. Not particularly cheap, but where is nowadays, especially if you want fish? Still represents good value for money though, in my opinion. The chips are lovely and always cooked just right, and the batter on the fish is deliciously crisp and fairly light. Portion sizes are fine. I am very happy to be able to recommend this establishment, and that’s certainly been the case for many years.
If you want traditional fish n chips this it. Well cooked chips amazing fish. Any other items always tasty. Fast and reliable service.

Roast had battered sausage and chips from here today and he said “ bang on mush, 10 outta 10.” Mind you he does enjoy a good battered sausage.
I enjoyed my time and it makes my day more than good. The waiter had well recommended to my wishes what I like. And it was the best choice and it was very delicious. A cozy place to spend on your own or with your friends and family. Yes, I recommend this restaurant definitely!
