As always and as in every visit to a Toby Carvery very pleased with service and food. The beef I had at Highnam was tender and flavoursome. If you leave a Toby Carvery still feeling hungry then it is you who are doing something wrong. Can't fault the food or the value for money Toby Carvery represent. Easily gets a 10/10 from me.

9 of us arrived for carvery meals this evening. Before we'd ordered we were made aware of allergy information. The host and the server were very thorough. The food was excellent, including 2 meals that were specially prepared ( one vegan, one with allergy conditions). The young lady who served our table, Charlotte was fantastic! Very attentive to our group and a credit to the establishment If you can cope with our family again, we will be back!! Lol Thank you

Upon arrival no one was in sight to book us in so we had to wait a little while. When we were seated, the waiter, who was very pleasant and friendly, was there to see to us immediately. We both had the carvery which was extremely tasty. We were not rushed and the atmosphere was very relaxed. From start to finish we enjoyed the Toby experience and would have no hesitation in recommending this eatery.

We arrived a little early for the booking but the lady who was at the desk very kindly fitted us in when we arrived. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Food was lovely except for the mash potato was a bit lumpy otherwise a lovely lunch experience.

Very good, long-established Toby Carvery that's always popular & worth the drive (in my case 25 minutes) for the food & atmosphere. I've visited other Toby Carvery, but this is, in my opinion, cosistanly the best for quality of the food & service. Give it a try for breakfast or the Carvery, you won't be disappointed.

Staff very helpful, great service, and not bad value for money. Some of the vegetables are overcooked for my liking, but that's personal taste. Defo go back if passing was very full after

We are very thankful to the Toby Carvery Team at this branch. We had an unexpected event happen but they were so accommodating and reassuring! Huge thank you to Dani and Tom who went above and beyond to make sure myself, mum and grandparents were looked after. The food was fantastic with a great atmosphere in the restaurant. We will be dining here again!

Enjoyed a well cooked carvery meal here. Waitress was caring and pleasant. Overall good value for money. However we were seated beside a front window and the sill and paintwork needed a good clean.

We booked for Sunday lunch and as always it was busy but no problem at all,,we were seated in the same place as a few months ago with the same server. I think his name is Dean,,as always he was very attentive and he is lovely. Our meal was lovely,we had a little cue time waiting for our dinner but it's expected on a Sunday so we have no problem with that at all. It has improved there as before the last tine and yhis one when I have been its not been as good. Thank you Dean for your service we want to sit there again.

Andy, the carver and chef did an amazing job on a very busy day. Real nice bloke. Management need to think about easing up on the amount of people waiting in the queue on special deal days, if nothing else to give the chef a bit of respite. Coffee didn't taste like Lavazza, but generally an enjoyable Carvery. Well done Andyđź‘Ť

Always a fantastic experience 🙏 Served by Kirsty and she was fantastic, remembered us personally, dealing with conflict from customers (which she shouldn't have to), - still providing a great service to us. Value your staff 🙏 Will return as a consistent customer.

We were greeted & made to feel welcome. When asked if we could change seats from the bar area to the restaurant area, we were accommodated. Our waitress was friendly & efficient, although our separate orders of pigs n blankets were forgotten about- we had to remind them which was halfway through the meal- they arrived alittle overcooked, the bacon was very hard. We didn't complain as the carvery itself was amazing. The carving chef was friendly when spoken to....the meat on offer looked delicious. We surprised ourselves & managed puddings too! which again was thoroughly enjoyed by all. When asked if we could take a child's pudding home it was boxed up. Definitely would recommend & can't wait to come back!

Good food as always. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Does not feel like a large chain of restaurants. Took note of where we wanted to sit. (no steps).

They were generous with the meat unlike the other Toby in Gloucester. The potatoes were really nice. They were very friendly and interacted with the kids very well. They were understanding of my child’s autism and made allowances for this to make our dinner experience easier. We always go to the other Toby in Gloucester as it’s closer but because of our experience here I think we may travel the extra distance and it was better food and they were much more friendly.

Warm welcome booked a table for morning breakfast. Sat at a window looking back out on main road. A good selection of food as you would expect from the toby hot and enjoyable. The toaster was not very good took more than twice to go through before it did its job. Plenty of tea or coffee to be had . Thank you very enjoyable meal. Will call in again
