Wheatstone Inn - Gloucester - Photo album

Great food. Greeted by host very quickly. We hadn't booked, but only a table for 2. We were shown to a nice area and presented with a menu and a point towards the bar for drinks choices. Good selection on the menu for all courses and food came reasonably quickly. Food itself, fantastic and care see
Great stop on a long journey. Fantastic squid stater and scampi main course. My ciabatta BLT was OK. Friendly service and clean toilets.
Excellent service, welcoming, friendly & helpful - Lauren was very good. Excellent food, good selection & was delicious. I thoroughly recommend the seafood grill! Only downside was I had the apple tart for desert but the pastry was soggy - I think it had been ‘pinged’ in the microwave. That’s the o
We stayed nearby for 2 nights and ate at the Wheatstone both nights. Nice menu added to with a specials, so good choice. Big plates of food which was pretty good, perhaps a tad light on flavour, bye well cooked and presented. Highlights both nights were our 2 servers Mike and then Niall. Both were b
A busy Friday night in there, food and service was very good. Both starter and main was tasty!
Amazing food and really good service! We ordered the chef special and is so good!
Absolutely Amazing Served by Holly I mixed up my own order and once realised she went and got it fix so quickly Brilliant place
The meal was first class and excellent service. The staff were exceptional and always made sure that everything was perfect. Highly Recommended.
Vistited with my boyfriend, we were very impressed by the food our starters and mains were very tasty and good portions. The surroundings were nice but sadly its not a 5 star rating from us as we found the service to be rather poor. It took ages for someone to firstly take our drinks order I had to
Just off the M5, after Gloucester services turn off. Not far from motorway on main road. Nice little place, friendly staff. Had burger and chips for £14, so fairly pricey. Burger was a bit bland, but the chips were really good. Decent sized portion too. Happy to come back when passing.
Beautiful food lovely place .Book a table does get busy .
Went to the Wheatstone for a Sunday roast as we heard it was good. The staff we all very friendly and very welcoming, we were seated and ordered in double quick time. When the food arrived it looked lovely I had the trio roasts and the partner had roast turkey. The turkey seemed strange like it was
Fantastic, delicious , super tasty food but SHOCKING 🤯, very slow service. Terrible waiting time. Only three waiters for over 40 tables. Waiting for the mains, waiting for the drinks, waiting for the pudding, waiting for the bill...Waiting, waiting waiting... 😢 Super kind and polite staff (thank yo
Nice place, good service and enjoyed the food
Good food. My only gripe is their Supper Club set up. You choose from Main Menu but the signs for the options are so small, even with wearing glasses. Would make more sense to have a separate printed menu as they do for their specials.
We have been several times guests of Wheatstone Inn and have ALWAYS been served in the friendliest possible way. The food was exellent! Especially, the "Fish and Chips" any definetly the best "Steak and Ale Pie" I'd ever had. Very well done done Wheatstone Team!
An excellent meeting place half way for us. Very easy to find, good parking. Lovely staff, well cooked lunch. Will be happy to go back
