Great place for good beer, ale & cider from small independent breweries. Nice atmosphere and great food. Ideal for that lunchtime break on a Saturday. Would recommend it. Give the brand pubs / restaurants a miss and try this.

Attended the wine and cheese tasting at Tank yesterday afternoon. We had a great couple of hours pairing the wines and cheeses, with the very knowledgable double act of Ben and Jan taking us through the wines and cheeses respectively. We went as a family group and can recommend doing this activity together as it was really enjoyable. Already being fans of wine, it was nice to learn a little more about how the grapes are processed/how the wine is aged, and we discovered a new wine we particularly liked that was very different to our usual purchases, and we would be tempted to buy in the future. Thanks guys.

Of all the pubs in the quays/town, this is the one I just keep returning to. Good quality simple food, great beer and friendly staff.

Just wanted to give a great feedback to Jesse and his team at Tank. I organised a birthday surprise at Tank a couple weeks back and the effort the team went for us especially Jesse was outstanding. We all had such a great night all thanks to Jesse and the team! Also went for lunch here a couple days back and again the service I got was great - Fast & friendly. Fully recommend - thank you!!

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Propped up the bar with my step dad all evening and sampled just a few of the fine ales on offer. Closed the night off with the Porter, which was a delight. I'll be back

Jan’s 2nd GINtastic event was great. Wonderful selection of Gins. Plenty of tonic. Great food. Good company and the best bit was Jan’s insight into the different Gins. Looking forward to the 3rd event in the Autumn.

Nice welcome and some nice beers. Didn’t have food but it looked beautiful especially the burgers. I had a lovely beer called cascade and vanilla porter. Quirky decor as well

Brilliant pub serving their own amazing beer and gin, as well as local ciders. This became our local while we were on holiday in Gloucester! Very dog friendly, staff brought water, biscuits and gave ours a cuddle. The food was fantastic too, we had pizzas and snacky bits. The cheesy pretzel was easily my favourite!

I do like it here, but the beer is always a bit style over substance - it's fine. Nice venue, though. Not tried any food - might have to at some point.

Superb bar serving fantastic locally brewed beers and ales.. Didn't try the food this time, but it looked phenomenal. The American Pale Ale was fabulous.

A great pub right at the edge of the canal by the bridge in the Old Gloucester Docks. Brilliant ales from the Gloucester Brewery (recommend a pint of the Cascade). They have guest ales too and a few nice ciders. A great bar menu with quality pizzas, burger and other bites too. They staff are always really friendly and helpfull. This is great addition to a quality pub crawl around Gloucester town which is beginning to come alive again with the help of genuine pubs like The Tank.

Fantastic service. Thanks to James B, I found the perfect pint. You should definitely give him a raise.

Great selection of craft beers and spirits on offer, within a bright and aesthetically pleasing building that invokes hints of the industrial/dockside flavours of the past.

Came here numerous times and loved it! The staff were absolutely fantastic, welcoming and very friendly. A big shout out and huge thank you to you all... Nick (a real legend), Connor (manager..nudge nudge, wink, wink...say no more πŸ€«πŸ˜‰), Millie, Bailey, Louisa and Jovan (this fragrance is named after you "Jovan Musk for Men"..a real classic, try it). You are all stars and your boss/the owner has some real gems of people in all of you, well done all...!! πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘πŸ‘ What a fantastic place and their burgers and pizzas looked so delicious too. Maybe next time we'll pop over for a lunch or dinner and have one of these.... I guess the staff got to know me after a few visits and even took my better half for a wee Rhubarb and Ginger gin which she absolutely loved! (All these gins are made at their Gloucester Brewery and Gin Distillery) What great real ales and first proper cask ales I've had in a very long time. Their Gloucester Brewery and Fox Gin distillery is a short walk away over the bridge on the other side of the docks basin. Definitely worth a visit as you can buy all the ales or gin at the Brewery shop. (A visit to here is a must!) The only other inhouse and onsite Brewery I know of is in Market Drayton, Shropshire. I had the Cascade Red ale which was great and fresh: Gloucester Brewery – Cascade – 4.2% – Red Bold aroma of spicy & floral hops over a perfectly balanced biscuit malt base But my absolute favourite is the Dockside Dark Porter!! Gloucester Brewery - Dockside Dark – 5.2% – Porter Velvety smooth and subtly sweet award-winning porter with a gorgeous aroma of coffee, chocolate and dark fruits. I highly recommend this pub, restaurant, Brewery....the decor throughout is stunning and so vibrant and with it, no stuffy or dated decor here at all... Thanks to YOU ALL for making us and me especially feel totally welcomed and so at home... Amazing place, amazing staff and amazing perfectly kept and chilled real cask ales, great Gins and delicious food..!!! πŸ‘πŸ‘Š

Staff and atmosphere great, only reason for not getting 5 stars is the length of time food took on a quiet Saturday early evening.
