My husband and I loved this shop. The staff are friendly and the service is second to none. We will definitely be coming again (even though the shop is an hour's drive!) Child friendly and bright and cheery. Ps the English tea is lovely

Popped in for quick bite to eat and was not disappointed. Staff were really friendly and attentive. I had the soup and sandwich which was amazing and kept me going all afternoon. Only criticism was music was a bit loud but that was a personal preference. Coffee was really nice as well

Had a impromptu lunch date at this cafe and it was wonderful! the atmosphere was relaxing and very welcoming. The staff are warm and helpful ,we had to a make dietary request and they accommodated it and it wasn't any bother. cafe is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, they have different types of chairs which was a life saver for my back! Absolutely loved the food , a little expensive I would say but definitely worth it , best BBQ chicken cheese toastie I've had and the salad that accompanied it was gorgeous. Just what was need on a hot day. I would definitely recommend this place !

I could not carbon14 date cake. Means only one... It was fresh! And if you see my previous reviews for other places this was basically my luck being served old bad in taste cakes. But not here! And then there's that zing you can feel walking in. Oh and I loved chairs outside. Would say pillows could be good idea but you would slide off. But they are nice to look at. And the plate I had my cake served that was nice too. It's not boring Ikea plate but something else. Something that shows they put some though into it. Cake did not have too much flour in it means it was bit crumble but it only means you need to use fork in rather creative way. And cappuccino was good too. Of anything.. I would leave option to customer should he / she have a chocolate on top of it or not. But you know what? I'm picking up on minor details here because time I have spent there enjoying cake and coffee sitting outside... I liked it. It let me relax, focus on book, enjoy time. And you cannot put price tag on that!

This place was picked because of the breakfast menu that was available until 2:00pm . I love poached eggs. I was met by a lovely waitress, the blonde one, who bantered with me and really made me feel welcome. She smiled a lot and had a great sense of humour. A lovely member of staff. They had amazing cakes and a great lunch menu. I usually get to know the staff by name but unfortunately missed it this time, but they were so accommodating and hospitable. The Biscoff milkshake, recommended by the waitress, was amazing and very refreshing on this particularly hot day. Overall a lovely and friendly lunch experience that met my expectations when I planned my visit to Glossop. P.s the country music added a nice ambience to the place. Will definitely visit again. Found this place by accident and it didn't disappoint. We arrived late in the day and was accommodated with a lovely potatoe hash which was presented lovely. Tea made with tea leaves tasted great! All reasonably priced. Will return when in the area.

A lovely family-ran place with great service. Visited with friends and their toddler for Sunday brunch. Everything was delicious and good coffee too. The cook’s little girl even helped to settle our upset toddler by sharing her toys, such a lovely touch! Thanks for making us feel so welcome 🙂

Popped in for coffee and cake today. Small delay in taking our order but when our lattes arrived with a tasty cherry bakewell sponge cake every thing was lovely.

I randomly came across About Thyme whilst on a bike ride. I had the full english sat in a lovely courtyard and it was delicious. I was served by Becca & Rachel who were so nice and friendly. I will definitely be calling again.

Absolute little gem of a place! Very spacious, perfect for taking my fur baby. Sometimes I feel like cafes cram you in, but not here. The English breakfast was delicious - felt satisfied but not lethargic after. Great service, will definitely be returning!

Brilliant food! The bread they used for my sandwich was delivered from a local bakery; probably the best sandwich I've had in years! It also came with a big salad and what was probably the best freshly made coleslaw I've ever had! Although the decor was a tad too colourful for my taste I was VERY impressed with the quality of the food. And to think I almost didn't go in because of all the bright colours and noughties canteen look, so happy I did. Thanks

What a great find, I visited with my grandson quite by chance. Simply great coffee and cakes most of which were home-made are the best I’ve had anywhere. Now the best bit for me, they really do understand how to do gluten-free correctly. If you’re coeliac or gluten intolerant you will know how important this is. You can trust this coffee lounge and you won’t be disappointed with the quality or choice. Brilliant, we will be back.

I have no idea why I haven't written a review for this place sooner? Since the new owner has taken over it has become a busy place and rightly so as it is the place to go for excellent beverages (best tea for miles!) and the food I've had from here has been delicious and seriously worth the money. I highly recommend the place if you're local or a visitor to Glossop - You'll definitely get a warm welcome and you certainly won't regret it! Don't tell anyone about the secret garden ;)
