An absolutely lovely pub. They have an excellent menu with many great options. Everyone agreed that the food we had was really tasty and good portion sizes. The service was very friendly and welcoming. They are also dog friendly too! I can certainly recommend a trip if you're in the area looking for
We’ve visited on a few occasions for food and drinks, both with friends, family and our little one. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating and lovely. Always make us feel welcome, especially the Landlady. The food is terrific! Full of flavour with a great selection to suit everyone (including vege
Always a lovely place for a meal. Super friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The menu is an excellent mix of traditional homemade pub fare and an extensive range of specials. There is always a good selection of alternative foods as well (veggie, vegan) and a decent drinks selection at the bar too
We booked a table for the evening and i was really impressed with the specials, service and main menu as I have never been here before, it's local to my sisters home and they go here so I thought we would try it. Food was very good, portions are very good too, if anything the rib starter is a little
Love it love it love it. Slightly biased because I live in the village. Claire, Charlie and the Team do a fantastic job. Food is great, Chilli beef a must!! So welcoming & only pub in our little village. Perfect for The Pennines Way travellers watering hole.
Wonderful dinner with friends - one of our party had some food sensitivities and the staff were so attentive and helpful, it was great to eat somewhere with such confidence of the care being taken! Food is delicious, home cooked and really tasty. Great cosy atmosphere and so friendly!
Lovely, cosy pub. Excellent food and really friendly staff. 100% recommend this place
The Peels is one of my favourite local pubs, great outdoor benches in the sun (if you're lucky enough for it to be out), always great food served promptly, nice interior and friendly helpful staff. Always a safe bet, small car park but can park on the side roads too.
Always been a lovely country pub but under new (ish) management the food has gone to a new level and reasonably priced. Well kept cask ales and a lovely cosy feel about the place. Well worth a visit.
Fantastic pub, really lovely staff. The food is awesome and they have a great vegan menu.
Came in for some food and it was excellent! The food was piping hot and fresh. The steak pie was amazing and so filling, the sticky chilli beef was so tasty and full of flavour. Staff are very polite and professional. All in all I'd definitely recommend and I will be coming back
This was a lovely find chosen during a day of walking around Crowden. Very welcoming and attendant staff - couldn't be more helpful. Great lunch (I had Wessex chicken) and excellent ale (I chose TT Landlord). A perfect pub lunch.
First time in ages I have ordered a Cheese and Onion pie that tasted of cheese and onion! Perfect lunch at the end of a walk
Great food, fab service from Charlie! Really enjoyed our meal!
Great stop for fish and chips and a few pints, fish was fresh and battered in house, so light and crispy, chips also on point
After a busy day with our son, the three of us decided to eat out, our food was hot and tasty, and a good choice available, although we were advised that there may be a wait as two tables had already ordered, we did not wait long at all, definitely visit and eat here again... Fabulous pub, thank you
Amazing food.. amazing staff.. been here twice in 2 days. Highly recommended especially the steak & ale pie dish & sticky chilli beef dish. Absolutely fantastic. Lovely end to my 30th birthday week and engagement!!
