A fantastic selection of tasty food for all palates. The staff are all very friendly and the place looks amazing since its refurbishment. Would definitely recommend.

First visit for the buffet at Rara Tal and was pleasantly surprised. Exceeded my expectations as buffet offerings at times can be quite bland and more often than not have a lot of food reheated from the previous service. I found the majority of the food to be fresh. Some dishes were actually as good as you’ll get sitting in or delivered in the area if not better. I would say this compares to Shimla in East Wemyss which is a good thing.
Personal favourites were the pakora and spicy potato appetisers and the lamb karai and garlic chicken mains. Rice was nice and hot along with the nan. Waiter was attentive enough and I noticed he swapped our glass with ice so he just had spotted something so this was a really good sign too. The dessert area needs some work though, definitely had some not so fresh cakes and the fruit looked dry and probably been sitting there all day. Have ice cream!!
Overall I’ll still give it 5 stars as for a buffet it does everything you want it to do (except for dessert lol).
Had a meal a few weeks ago it was amazing and the chef made me a special chicken curry dish with out cream it as I have dietary needs it was delicious I will be back and I highly recommend the place great food and such great value for money
Went here for the first time on Sunday for the buffet and I have to say it didn't disappoint. The selection of dishes was just enough and it was so fresh and tasty. The lamb literally melted in the mouth. I was very impressed. Reasonable price too and great service. Would highly recommend
Under new management in the last 2 months and you can definitely tell. We've had 2 takeaways that have been excellent so decided to go in on Friday for dinner. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The food was excellent. We've been going to Indian restaurants for years and I have to say this was the best one I have tasted in a long time. The service was 1st Class too. Will definitely be my regular now.
Had a lovely buffet here tonight. Food was delicious, all staff very friendly and attentive. Narayan was very helpful and so nice. Don’t know why I haven’t been before but will definitely be back!!!
Buffet was excellent and lots of variety, all meat was tender and cooked perfectly. The naan bread was low when we were there so we were told that they’d bring more to the table which they did very promptly and it was warm and fresh. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. We are definitely coming back.
I also read a review on here saying it wasn’t wheelchair friendly however when we went there was a wheelchair user who was seated above the two steps so it is wheelchair friendly.

Never thought that old Follies could look like this. I met with a friend I hadn't seen for 26 years at this restaurant. We had the best time ever! The food, the service and the ambience were first class. I live down south now but I can honestly say that if I still lived in Glenrothes this would be my first choice of Indian restaurant anywhere in the surrounding area. If you haven't tried this restaurant then you're missing out. It's great value for money and I honestly couldn't think of one negative thing to say about it.
This is a little gem if a place. Excellent value for money. There is not a massive choice of dishes in the buffet but there is more than enough for everyone to eat. The South Indian Garlic Chill, Chicken Jalfrezi and Lamb Bhoona curries were very nice. The rice was fresh. Desserts were basic but I went for the main courses not the ice cream. 👍 Staff were also great.
I ordered online via their website, the confirmation system doesn't work very well, and with three hours notice it was still 45 minutes late. A wee call or text to confirm would save a lot of uncertainty.
However the food was utterly superb, genuinely the best Indian I have had in years. The Korma and chasni were delicious, so full of flavour. The pakora sauce was superb, not to mention the pakora and the bhajji themselves.
Excellent service 5⭐variety of Currys my favourite South Indian was amazing, the starters to many to choose from love the spicy potatoes and noodles, plenty cakes,fruit and ice cream to end a wonderful experience, they will even make the kids nuggets etc if there fussy little ones, above all loved it
We've been here a long time ago for the buffet. This restaurant was recommended to us by a group of people who were going on Saturday night. On their advice we decided to go. Well, we were not disappointed!!!! In fact, we were well impressed. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. Best Indian meal we've had in a very long time.
The outside doesn't look very inviting, but as the old saying goes 'Don't judge a book by it's cover'
Well worth the visit. Then back in to the Pheonix for a few drinks.

There food is quality delicious and quick service is very kind they gave me a glass of coke for free when waiting for my take away order and is a nice chill atmosphere and a good price for buffet and the take away food for a Indian place as well

Really lovely place with fantastic staff. Good selection of food, and the veg pakora is especially good! Tea and coffe, puddings, and snacks for after the main meal is done and very affordable. Highly recommend! 🙂 One of the staff members is very caring and lovely and if you are vegetarian all you need to do is ask for the currys without meat and he'll get it for you. Very kind people.
