Enjoy a lunch in an old railway carriage before going for a walk to the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Great food, super service and lovely atmosphere. We took some home smoked salmon and cheddar for dinner. Highly recommended!
This little gem of a dining experience is wonderful and really has to be experienced. The staff, the food and the location are just so perfect. My partner and myself left feeling like we really had a great time. Prices are as expected and the quality of food was superb. The chef is really a talented
We were pleased to find a table here for lunch given that the destination is so busy. The staff were friendly. The menu was focused and really well done. The food was excellent - some of the best we had in Scotland.
Highly recommend! Great photo opportunity!
Lots of vegitarian options.
Such a cute cafe and run by the nicest couple as well! The cakes and hot chocolate were a lovely treat after our hike from the viaduct up the hill and back down to the road. For Outlander fans, there was a little surprise at the back of the train car as well! ;) Would definitely recommend the strawb
Delicious food, had breakfast there for the two mornings I spent in Glenfinnan and both the salmon and sauteed potatoes dishes were very good. Service is great: the day of my arrival, the train was delayed well past their closing time of 5 and they kindly waited at first before leaving it in the Sle
Arriving at 1:30pm on a Saturday in July without a reservation, I didn’t expect to get a table of 4, but we did, and I’m delighted that we did because it was a great lunch. The dining car itself is delightful, the service was good, and the food was tasty and fairly priced.
we love our food, drink, pastries here. Delicious meal and brilliant service. Highly recommend. You can book a table here before start the viaduct trail. It will be less busy after 3 pm.
Fantastic meal in a beautiful dining car. The service was perfect. We even chatted with the manager of a local estate. Fantastic experience.
A gem of a place to stop for lunch. Imaginative menu, carefully prepared. I can recommend the open sirloin steak sandwich, Salmon platter, carrot cake, chocolate mousse tartlet with raspberry.
An adorable little cafe with a wonderful selection of food and drink. We only got tea and cake, as we packed lunch for the day. Kind of wish we didn't as the other food looked incredible! Tea and cake were delicious though!
Ideal for lunch in a special place. The rolls and soup are quite tasty. You cannot make a reservation but you don't need to because even if it's full, you can get a table quite fast.
Absolutely charming atmosphere. Delicious and beautifully decorated food.
Loved the grilled goats cheese.
Will definitely come back, when we are in the area.
You have to be lucky to get a seat at times though...
A very quaint dining experience in an old dining car, felt like I was in the 1960s. The food was excellent and homey and all the staff very friendly and welcoming. Home baked teatime treats. There is also a splendid outside veranda with a view over the mountains. Customers receive a complimentary ti
Found this absolute gem at the Glenfinnan train station after watching the steam train cross the viaduct. The old train wagons have been repurposed as a hostel or dining place! The dining car was super cute and we had a lovely coffee break with cake. Very speedy service, lovely staff and a lovely an
Lovely people running this "train"! We tried the lentil soup, the jacket potatoes, focaccia sandwich with pesto and the stag box with cheeses, crackers, jam, olives and a taste of curated stag (made there) such a delicacy!! And the views are just insuperable.
Such a lovely place 🙌🥰☕️
We came here after visiting the viaduct and it was such a great experience here. Not only a nice atmosphere and great staff, additionally we got great coffee and cake along with it. In the end we also got a great recommendation for the next day. What else can you wish for?
Loved it! Amazing food, lovely service and one of the best brownies i’ve ever had.
Popped in to the cafe twice - once when we were on the train and the day after when we came to see the train. Great coffee and friendly staff. Did the walk to the viewpoint then back for a super yummy ice cream. A full price but definitely worth it. Great views at the cafe too and sun trap seating!
Excellent lunch in a very unique atmosphere! We stumbled upon this gem by chance, and had fantastic local food served to us. And the staff is really friendly.
