Sometimes we are lured away from "proper" garden centres by "bargain" plants at supermarkets/diy stores but a stop at Glendoick recently made me remember why we should be supporting these garden centres. I had a tricky query looking for plants which were suitable for patio pots but were scented at this time of year. It was a tough ask but I spoke to Ken and he came up with a Buddleia Buzz which has a waterfall habit instead of the standard garden Buddleias and the honey scent is amazing. He also suggested Nemesia Wisley Vanilla. I bought both of them and am extremely pleased with them and the excellent customer service.Good advice is priceless. Give this garden centre a whirl...you won't be disappointed.
PS I went back on Sunday and treated myself to gorgeous sage green pots to put my plants in. I thought they would be really expensive for their ceramic pots but they were very affordable. We then had tea and Rose and Pistachio cake in the coffee shop sitting in the sun. What's not to like!

I love the new refurbishment at the cafe. The new soft play area is great and will definitely be keen to bring my 18 month old next time I visit. The layout at the tills is much easier to use and the choice of cakes was lovely. I must have stood there for 5 minutes trying to decide what to have. I’d definitely recommend this stop for an afternoon.
