Simply the best cafe in Glastonbury. Good food, accommodating to menu amendments, hot drinks that are actually hot, and a great vibe. The artwork covering the walls is all done by the owners and the music isn't the usual chart rubbish, so the place has a really unique and homely feel. Plus the prices are reasonable!
Came across this cafe by accident, the name intrigued me.
Wonderful staff , delicious food at a good price. Definitely a place to recommend 👌
Absolutely loved lunching here with my mum today. Stunning food, great atmosphere and perfect location in the centre of town. Would recommend to anyone visiting and looking for a friendly place to eat & drink.
Nice milkshake. Love my milkshakes!
Yet to try more of the foods.
Good service.
Flet relaxed in atmosphere

Excellent food and and very friendly. I often bring my elderly parents here with their various sticks and wheelchair. They love it and it is the highlight of their week. Thanks Lazy Gecko for your understanding and compassion and the great food.
You are the very essence of what Glastonbury is about. 💖
The Gecko embodies the spirit of Glastonbury that the majority of other cafés here do not, with the exception of the Rainbow's End Cafe which is also made of the right stuff.
The food is very good quality and very tasty, and their coffee is the best I've had in Glastonbury. Just good quality, strong and tasty coffee. Some of the other cafés in town are extremely bland for coffee, which always puzzles me as it's literally their business to sell coffee.
The place is very relaxed and the vibe is chilled and laid back. There's usually some light instrumental reggae music playing and the walls and furniture are all adorned with purchasable art that is made by people who own / work in the cafe.
Sometimes the service can be a little too laid back, and the only bad reviews you tend to see for this place relate to service. Personally I find the staff are very nice and interesting to talk to if you go in regularly, and I like the laid back attitude they have. I can understand why some might not get it if they pop in for a one off, so I would generally disregard bad reviews for service and just try to relax and embody the vibes of the place when you visit.
I love this place, I've tried all the other cafés in town and they lack any kind of personality and soul which this place has in spades. Rainbow's End is also decent but takes FOREVER to get served and is quite expensive. The rest you would find in any town in the UK and add nothing to the spirit of Glastonbury.
Superb French Onion Soup (on the specials) the Mezze was fresh and tasty. Great staff. Quick service. Nice place to relax. Plenty of wall art available for purchase. Prices good.
Fab quirky cafe where we decided to stop for breakfast, so glad we did, fabulous fresh cooked food, lovely coffee, greeted by friendly staff, definatley worth a visit... the cakes look amazing too!
Came here for lunch with a couple of friends. Having lived here for years, I have no idea why I hadn’t come here before as I’ve been recommended it so many times! The garden was shut when I was here, but I heard it’s lovely. Food came quickly, was delicious and there was a really nice vibe in the cafe. Got a large portion for the price! Lovely spot for a bite to eat before or after venturing into Glastonbury Abbey!
Funky fun vibes. Great food and coffee. A lovely independent cafe in the heart of Glastonbury.
Ordered the haddock fish cake and large coffee. Tasty. Service was wonderful and the store decoration is full of fun.
Visited the Lazy Gecko for some lunch. Had full English and apple crumble with custard for afters. Meal was good quality and plenty for the price, the apple crumble and custard was best I have tasted in a long time.
Plenty of seating area with good atmosphere and availability to sit out front or in garden if you wanted too. Highly recommended place to visit.
Just picked this place from a Google search. Well worth a visit. Friendly service. Dog friendly. Some interesting options on the menu. I had the fish chowder, which was excellent.
Best fish pie ever.. lovely atmosphere, great music,
nice staff. Good value for money.
Only stopped here for a quick coffee break after the Tor walk. Has always been a place to come for coffee and cake whilst in Glastonbury, and it certainly didn't disappoint again. Coffee is always good here but we had already filled up with cake at Burns over the road, so can't comment on the cake side. Service normally always with a smile.
