My mum and I had lunch here yesterday. Really great wholesome home cooked food. Lovely lady who served us. It’s busy which is always a good sign. Would highly recommend!! Will definitely go again.
Excellent service and food. Can thoroughly recommend this place. David Greenway, Town Crier of Glastonbury.
Loved everything about this place - server was knowledgeable & very quick, the Afternoon Tea was delicious especially the scones which were still warm! Extremely good price for the feast we had. Wouldn't hesitate to return
Staff are amazing and accommodating, can't wait to visit the tea rooms each year we're down. Highlight of our visit. Highly recommend this place.
I have had my 1st afternoon tea- felt like royal.

Thoroughly recommend & well worth the visit.
Lovely staff & smashing home made food.
Keep up the great work & will be sure to return soon.
This place is fabulous......Traditional tea shops are sadly on the decline in some areas. Well done all of you for keeping this wounderful tradition alive. However a word of caution to those of you on a diet The beautiful cakes and food here are irresistible . Keep up the good work you guys. Richard Howard, Snowdoina National Park, Wales
A lovely tea room. Everything freshly made. Cream teas to die for.
Second visit here in as many weeks. Lovely food and great friendly service. A little treasure of a place 😊
We always pop in here when we're in Glastonbury...whether it's for scrambled eggs and beans on toast, soup or afternoon tea. Always good food...bit miffed once when we arrived at 11.45 and it was too late for breakfast but we would've had to wait for noon for lunch.
Absolutely fabulous ! Food was superb, Pudding was divine and the place itself is homely and very welcoming! 5* from the moment you walk in :D
We will be back !
Went there on a rainy day, and its a lovely place with a great victoria sponge cake and a good variety of teas. I've loved it|
It`s a very nice Tea room. The scones are very good. Thank you
There is no competition! Mary Parker, Melissa, and the staff are simply the best at preparing and serving the loveliest English menu in the area. The service from kitchen and dining room is unsurpassed--there is a real spirit of good-will and a sincere desire to please, and to make others happy. We feel so much loyalty to Mary, because she has so much loyalty to Glastonbury, its people, and its visitors.
A proper tea room. It's definitely worth stepping back in time. It's back in time so don't expect vegan newness. Veggy yes though.
All homemade and delicious, don't need to say any more.
100%.

A lovely dainty little cafe in Glastonbury high street. We loved it here and the service was great and very quick!
The sandwiches were gorgeous and so were the scones - highly recommend! Also they have a big selection of cakes and the Heck’s apple juice is lovely.
This little place is worth a try if you need a bite to eat after looking through all the shops in town or just on a general day out 😊
We stopped here on a whim for Sunday lunch - we hadn't booked so we had a 20 minute wait, but it was worth waiting for. The Sunday Roast was lovely, really well cooked chicken, crispy roasties and tasty gravy.
Service was really friendly and helpful. If we're back in the area we'll eat here again.
A quaint, authentic old English tea rooms! If you're a tourist visiting Glastonbury and want something traditionally English and slightly less new-agey, these appropriately named 'Abbey Tea Rooms' are the place to go. They carry the authentically quaint feel of wooden beams, mismatched China, and lace tablecloths with a generous and flavourful tea time menu. I greatly enjoyed my cream tea (with warm, soft scones!) and the coffee was delicious too.
Super good experience here, delicious food and friendly staff. The scones taste so nice and they are even better than I had in London cost about £70 afternoon tea but here you only need to pay £8.5! And I forgot my sunglasses when I leave, the staff run on the street and bring it to me. Thanks a lot.
Very nice and cosy restaurant.
Good sandwiches and cyder.
Worth a visit.

Abbey Tea Rooms is cosiness made restaurant. We grew fond of it as we chose this place as our breakfast headquarters during our stay in Glastonbury. Tea and coffee are a must as well as cakes or simply toasts with marmalade. If you ever come to this wonderful town, make sure to pay this restaurant a visit, you won't regret it!
Recommended: Victorian sponge, raspberry and vanilla cake, coffee, Darjeeling tea 🍵, and toast with marmalade and butter (there was vegan butter too). However, we believe most of the cakes are not vegan.
Visited Abbey tea rooms yesterday with my friend. Had the roast chicken and sticky toffee pudding and the cheesecake absolutely delicious!! The service was excellent. Definitely will visit again. 😊
We visited today for my birthday, as I wanted afternoon tea in my favourite town! Amazing food; the sandwiches, scones and cakes we loved all of it, as well as the tea and coffee. Fantastic customer service too, our dog was welcome and was given a bowl of water. Will definitely come again :)
What a National Treasure Abbey Tea Rooms is! I have been visiting this proper little English Tea Room for 25 years. Always a wonderful experience. Best cream tea in the south west. They welcome well behaved dogs too.
Four of us today have been for an afternoon cream tea. The service and the food was good. However we were shocked to find that when we settled the bill we had been charged an extra £12.00 for another pot of tea for four. Never ever in all of the places that we have had cream teas have we been charged for extra tea.
We visited here for afternoon tea. We loved their traditional British interior and the friendly staff. Booking is essential for lunch time or it might be difficult to get a table immediately.
I first visited Abbey tea rooms when I took a solo birthday trip to Glastonbury in 2015.
I mentioned to the waitress that it was my birthday and when she returned with my cream tea, she had placed a lot candle in my scone and her and a couple other waitresses came out and sang me happy birthday.
I’ve always made a point of returning as the service and the food are both fantastic.
I went in yesterday and the service was friendly and fast as usual and the scones as delicious!
I look forward to returning in a couple of months.
Small friendly cafe. Home cooked food, excellent! Efficient and friendly staff.
Cozy spot with lovely service and great food!! Before lockdown, we always visit for lunch or tea and cakes (or both!). Then in May had a takeaway Sunday lunch!! Beautifully presented and served up on china plates etc all in a tray to carry. We sat in the car with roof down on the way to Launcherley, facing the Tor and tucked into one of the best Sunday roasts ever!!
The food is excellent value, with home made offerings. Although advertised as a tea room the food was good quality pub fair, with lovely desserts.
Lovely fresh and locally sourced food, coleslaw was so tasty I could have bought a big tub of it to take home with me if I could. Great traditional atmosphere and prices are what you would expect to pay.
