Not only a great all round shop full of delicious pies and treats as well as basics essentials, tonight I was greeted by the aroma of fresh fish and chips! Being a greedy sort I just had to order some chips and curry - and - they were superb! Thanks guys, next week I'll be adding a fish!
The Shop are hosting a welcome for three intrepid half ironmen.. Thanks so much..
These was really good pies I think we ended up buying about 10 wen we was there a few month ago X
Lovely food at decent prices. Hot drinks and ice cream. Friendly staff. Seats outside overlooking the docks.
A great cafe with lovely food and lovely service. The food is really good quality and service was very friendly. We were welcomed in despite being in a load of wet kayaking gear. I accidently left my gopro on a chair outside and it was passed on to me. We also got advice on where was a good place to get the boats on the estuary. Can recommend the beef sandwich
Great village store .Lovely staff always willing to help especially the ice cream boy 👍 great cuppa with great views seating area outside with heaters on a chilli day. 5star rating and dog friendly highly recommend a visit.
New DECK ON THE DOCK open 7 days a week a great under cover bonus for all weather brews and cake 🎂 great view.
Supper on late night Wednesdays till 8pm very tasty 😋
Offer fish and chips on Friday evening. Excellent food! I love it! I love all the people I met here. Glasson Dock is a lovely place and thanks for the table and chairs you offer we can have a nice time chatting here.
We are new to the Ribble Valley area and finding new places to visit. Today we went to Glasson Dock, or Glasson as it seems to be called.
Lovely place on the mouth of the river Lune with a working lock that allows boats of a suitable size up the river towards Lancaster.
There is also a Smoke House were you can buy freshly smoked fish, meats and cheeses, although to my surprise, most of the fish isn’t caught locally but comes down from Scotland.
After a little wander round and a purchase of smoked mackerel and chicken, we called at the Quayside Cafe for a some light refreshment and sat outside on a little terrace in the sun watching a catamaran navigate the lock, assisted by the lock keeper and his mate
The Quayside Cafe is a cafe but much more than a greasy spoon. Food, from a toasted tea cake to a corn beef hash, is generous and tasty and cooked to order, reflecting the obvious desire of the owners to provide good quality produce.
Lovely location, very friendly and engaging staff and excellent food, looking forward to our next visit and the recommended “Full English”
I recommend ice cream, it's from Poulton Plus. They make bacon sandwiches, sausage sandwich
Excellent little shop for food and drink seating outside with lovely views and walks
A little gem of a cafe. We have called here many times for a delicious ice cream. They sell hot and cold food which is very good and the coffee first class The decking is the perfect place to watch the world go by and as a bonus you can sometimes see the boats passing through the locks. It is also a general store selling groceries and alcohol with a gift shop selling many lovely and quirky items. It is also dog friendly. The staff are polite and friendly and the young man was very pleasant and helpful. Try a visit here and I am sure you will be not be disappointed.
So last weds eve my boss and her family and myself drove to Glasson Dock to meet her partner at the weekly Wednesday bike meet.
We entered The Shop, and was greeted with a lady with a lovely smile, her name was Jane and the owner. Sheĺ took our rather large order and got to it straight away. I ordered the Dock Burger which was bloody amazing! My boss had bacon sausage and egg barm, her reaction was, "omg! this is the best breakfast barm I have ever eaten." There was certainly no left overs for anybody! Especially the grey fluffy cat ( he lives in the pub which is just over the other side but believe he spends most of his day outside the little shop) his name being Fluff. What a lovely evening we had, so friendly and amazing food.. we have found our little piece of heaven ❤ thank you Jane for making us all welcome. You deserve the very best 👌and no doubt you will be seeing us all again Claire. Xx
Excellent place to visit, great food at sensible prices. Deck overlooking dock is a magic place to have a coffee and meet the friendly locals and have a delicious locally produced ice cream on a sunny day. Wednesday nights are a must for locals and motor cyclists to enjoy a special meal out night. The hub of Glasson with super friendly staff.
Friendly Wednesday night meets started again tonight. 5 to 8 pm. Great to see familiar and new faces and super motorbikes. Excellent tasty hash with red cabbage, beetroot and mushy peas served with free hot drinks. Highly recommend, Glasson is such a special place.
