Came here without originally planning to but extremely happy that I did. The place was small but cosy, it was clean and looked after. It had a nice feel to it and the service was good. The food itself was great, the portion sizes were much more than originally expected and we loved that. I would highly recommend coming here if you can.
We had a delightful lunch at Nigiri to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Lovely setting, chilled vibes and the food was fantastic. Sushi platter was my favourite but everything tasted delicious. Niall was a super host. Thank you 🍣 🍸 🎶
We've ordered from them twice now, almost the same order each time. First time was fantastic - sushi rolls (we didn't try the sashimi) were fresh and other items (udon and ramen bowls, katsu chicken) were excellent. This time round it wasn't quite as good. The normal udon and sushi was just as good, but a bao bun was an odd experience (instead of soft, steamed buns they were fried bread with the filling and sauce on them), and the spicy ramen was far, far too spicy (first time round it was great - hot, and a nice tingle on the lips, this time it was just all heat and no taste, like I had the bottom of the sauce pot where everything was concentrated). We happily ordered again after our first experience, but we'd be a bit more careful next time.
Excellent food and service too: the chicken karaage, bao buns, dragon roll and spicy ramen were full of flavour and delivered to our home looking and tasting amazing. We made an error with the online order which the manager quickly resolved then very kindly deducted the delivery charge. Will use again, and again...
I ordered edamame, veg gyoza, and prawn katsumi. There was a minor glitch that meant Uber app allowed me to order edamame even though the restaurant had ran out. There was also a bit of confusion in communicating this. So when my order arrived I didn’t know until I phoned the restaurant. The restaurant gave me some really yummy crackers instead and refunded the edamame and I didn’t need to even ask. Not gonna lie, I love their edamame so was gutted. But the service was still really good, and everything else arrived hot, tasty, and on time (as always)
Been for dinner in Nigiri twice recently and the food was fantastic both times. Sushi, ramen, teriyaki, and bao buns were all great. Staff were excellent as well and were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend Nigiri to anyone!
What a treat having this on our doorstep now! If the takeaway is anything to go by, I can't wait for the restaurant to open. Fantastic sushi for all the family. We've loved the spicy beef ramen, tempura prawns (always a must to test the quality of Japanese food - Nigiri did not disappoint) and, of course, prawn nigiri.
Cosy wee Japanese restaurant and take away. We had a mixed fish platter bento boxes and ramen. All the dishes were fresh and tasty.
It's small so booking is vital
Eaten in restaurant , great food , great presentation , great cocktails and great looking place . Love the schooner served beer. Just booked my next visit . Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Had a few carry outs as well , great food , try the dragon rolls , wow , ramen terrific , great addition to Giffnock.

Food ready for collection on time.
Very good food - the Baos are great value portions. The Sushi , tempura and gyoza…. All great.
The chicken Karage was a little dry- but they will nail that I’m sure !
Highly recommend this great wee addition to the Giffnock scene.
The restaurant only opened a couple of months ago.
We had a delicious lunch with everything freshly cooked.
I had a tasty ramen whilst my wife, who eats a lot of sushi in London said it was excellent
Nigiri, is an amazing wee place in the heart of giffnock. Spectacular food, lovely decoration and music really sets the scene and gives it a very traditional feel. Staff were very friendly and overall 10/10.
