Hands down the most authentic food I've had in Glasgow. Dosa with 3 chutneys just like how they serve it back in TN. I loved their chicken chettinad curry and Podi Dosa. They have special biriyanis available only during the weekends. Highly recommended!
My favourite place in Glasgow to have South Indian food. The food tastes amazing and has an authentic flavour. They even gave me free poppadoms the other day!! Lovely staff, lovely place. Been here way too many times and it has always been a 10/10 experience. Definitely recommend!!
Authentic South Indian food ... and prompt service and a cozy spot for an evening snack time and also take away is available. The new specials were very good and chicken curry dosa is a must try.
The best indian restaurant in Glasgow. Authentic desi foods. A must visit cafe in glasgow . I had Gobi Manchurian and Kari dosa…..Pure Blisss
This is the best authentic Indian food I've ever eaten in Glasgow in my nearly five years in Glasgow. On our several visits there we've had thalis(set menu), dosa and buriyani. They were all really really good and feels like a hime cooked meal.
It's a small place with around 16 people capacity. Seems like at times the service time is too long but still I guess it's worth the wait. Food is amazing. I have gone there many times and my favorite is the lamb Dosa. Though sometimes the side dips or curry doesn't taste that good.
First time to ever eat a Dosa and Madhras Dosa did not disappoint.
Everything from the starter to the desert was incredible, great flavour, well spiced.
If you're looking to have your taste buds experience the real Indian cuisine the Madhras Dosa is the place for you
First time at Madras Dosa and what an experience we had! Dosa and idli were exceptional. We will be back!
Excellent and authentic South Indian food. Sambar vadai is extraordinary. The portions were good to have a sumptuous meal. Pleasant team who is passionate in what they cook. I will come back again.
Loved it. Different style to my normal Indian but having been recommended this wee place I’m glad I went. Lovely hand made there and then food with amazing tastes. Def be back in the near future
There are lot of south indian style restaurants in Glasgow but i felt the taste of real home food only in this restaurant I have tried almost all the restaurants the Murungakkai Sambar and chutney i loved it the lamb briyani here is awesome sambar idly sambar vada chicken dosa and Podi dosa are must try.
Absolutely amazing food and people. While travelling to Glasgow for a Science conference, I took a takeaway and the food was so good!! so the next day I brought 2 other work colleagues (they never had south indian food before). Every single dish was authentic and amazing along with the people who are serving.
My parents were fasting the day we went to this restaurant, really good Indian food options. I loved the medu wada honestly better than the ones I have had before in UK. It's a really culture friendly place to go. The 'dips/chutneys ' are really good as well. This place can explore more south Indian curry options in food rather than sticking to north to stand out from others. But overall, I'd strongly recommend everyone to go here for South Indian Cuisine . The owner is nice and respectful as well.
Authentic South Indian food. The dosa we had was well roasted with great masala, Sambar and chutneys. I will suggest this place to all those love south Indian food.
The food is packed full of flavour. I like the chickpea curry from the lunch feast.
But the portions are small. My friends came out still hungry. 3 of us spent £36.
Great authentic food well located in west end area.
Super friendly staff and really quick service too.
Taste is better than most of restaurants around this place
Many parking spots around the restaurant
Do try their biryani and paneer butter masala
Authentic malabaar parantha are also something you should definitely try here
Me and my friends love South Indian cuisine and were craving for some real good authentic South Indian food. Ever since we’ve been in UK we have only got disappointment under the name of, “Authentic Cuisine”. But, Madhras Dosa was an exception. The restaurant setting is quite simple and we don’t expect anything fancy, but the food taste is just phenomenal! Exactly serving what we need and in the best way. We felt nostalgic with every bite we had. The mirchi bhaji is spot on and I would recommend dishes like Podi Masala Dosa, Idli Vada Sambar, Onion Chilli Utthapam and filter coffee to complete the meal. Would highly recommend this place to all who seek real South Indian cuisine in Glasgow.
A fantastic place to experience some traditional south India cuisine. We dined in and the experience and food was awesome. Everyone is cooperative and prizes are comparatively cheap for a city like Glasgow.
