Stopped for a fine refreshment on a particularly warm day and was delighted to meet Chas and Nina who chatted and made me feel most welcome. The food was delicious and the refreshment excellent. Thank you for such a great place and looking forward to appearing one Thursday night for your live music.

Cafe Bar Restaurant with live music open mic nites Friday and Saturday. Food is very nice too. Mac 'n' Cheese is brilliant! Been back several times. Nice place - relaxed and convivial. Cake and coffee is also very good. Lovely people running the show. Parking can be tricky, but I've been lucky most times.

Enjoyable meal and friendly service. Opted for a seat inside but a few seats outside. Menu has been changed, for the better, since I was last in. Went for the hummus dish which was both tasty and filling and will definitely have again. Option for alcoholic drinks which is a bonus when the weather is nice and you are sitting outside.

Hug is a nice Coffee shop/Bistro one of a clutch of such places on Skirving St. Shawlands, Glasgow South Side. Theres a typical menu, of filled rolls, sandwiches etc but also a choice of special things for the more discerning Palate . My friend had Parmesan Truffle scrambled eggs on Sourdough toast and i had my favourite. Sourdough French Toast with Bacon & Maple Syrup. Both were of high quality and very delicious. Staff were lovely and friendly and service was good. Its a street where you are spoiled for choice but this venue is Ambient, great for meeting up for conversation with no blaring loud music, where you are guaranteed quality food and service😊 Return December visit. We had Full Scottish breakfast which was excellent. Otherwise no change.....no need😏

breakfast - check, lunch - check, drinks - check, healthy - check, good service - check, and the best bit - you get to say I had a wonderful 'Hug'. The home made quiche here is totally "legend" as are the different breakfast egg options - we recommend the eggs Benedict. 5 veggie stars. Live music nights are fun and a relaxing night out.. Top notch place for '"brunch". Soup and quiche highly recommended

This is by far my favourite cafe in Glasgow. The food is absolutely delicious, with generous portions. David and his colleagues are very welcoming, professional and friendly. Highly recommend.
