I paid my 1st visit in such a long time to The Old Toll Bar, Glasgow. The interior hasn't been changed in any shape or form (due to it being an A-listed building).
The new owners have returned the bar back to the days of when a pub was a pub. No televisions or puggies (fruit machines). Just proper craft/real ales, and a wide selection of spirits, mixed with only conversations and good old vinyl music playing in the background.
So my friends, if you're ever in the area, I would definitely recommend stopping in for a beer or two. You won't be disappointed.
Haven't been here for a number of years and owners, during which time the place slowly went downhill. Now serving a selection of excellent craft beers and the best draft real ale I have had for a long time. Great staff and excellent music create a lovely ambiance.

It is a hidden gem, staff are friendly and helpful. Not the run of the mill everyday Glasgow pub but something special. Can't wait to go back �
Be prepared for an intriguing history of whatever cocktail you choose to drink. Barman knows everything about the drinks he shakes. I drank raw egg for the first time, with whiskey and yeast. Also the atmosphere is great, there's a gd olde traditional romantic vibe going on in there.
Great environment, helpful knowledgeable bar staff that can recommend which guest beer would match my taste. Pop up restaurant was a bonus.
This is one of Glasgows hidden gems maybe slightly out of the city but rest assured make the trip you wont be disappointed also live music and excellent food went to see the Morgan lee band last night and the Atmosphere was Brilliant place was busy and also what a truly amazing Bar and Drinks for all even non alcoholic beers for those who want to drive will most Definitely be back
What a great boozer! First visit last night and it won't be the last! The interior is beautiful, the selection of beers, cocktails and spirits is fantastic, the price is very very reasonable and the service is tip top.
Special shout out to the two lovely fellas on the bar last night who made our night out all the better with good chat and excellent choice of tunes. Thanks guys!
What an absolute gem this little pub is! My husband, daughter and I visited Glasgow for the first time on Saturday night for the stone roses gig and stumbled across this pub on our way for the bus to Hampden Park and loved it so much we decided to catch a later bus so that we could stay for an extra pint!! They have Samuel Smiths on draught for a start, the only other place we have had this is at our local cricket club so that alone won us over! The bartenders (and I call them this as they were so much more than regular bar staff) were friendly, very helpful and knew their stuff offering tasters of their ales to help us decide! We were even given advice on the best way to get back from the gig and as we managed to get back quite quickly we managed to pop in for last orders! Beautiful little pub, I would come back to Glasgow just to sit in there for the day and night alone!! Highly recommended, we will be back ��

Staff are friendly and helpful! End of the night, taxi driver rang but I cannot hear. Bar staff helped out. They made my evening enjoyable, played games with my friends, few drinks, great atmosphere. Been a regular customer and still coming back for more! �
We had one hour time. We walked and bumped in The Old Toll Bar. We were welcome by Ross. This Bar has character! We played cards, chatting with other customers and had great time. I love strong coffee with classic cube of sugar. One hour with lovely company and friendly Ross. I recommend this Bar, not only for rainy day, how was today.

Downstairs is a function room. The night I went there they had dragioke (see pic), which was really good fun in a laid back atmosphere.
Went here for the first time for a 50th Birthday party downstairs in the function area. Great place for a party. Loved the huge murals on the walls of famous (Glasgow) folk. Had a few of their interesting tequila shots with warming and flavoursome chasers. Atmosphere in the bar area was relaxed and convivial and bar staff were super helpful and attentive. Never waited long to be served. Well worth a visit to this hidden gem on the southside of the river.
Didn't eat but attended an open mic night with lots of awesome folks. The bartenders were super friendly, and the draughts were excellent. Can't wait to try the cocktail menu!
My favourite bar of all! From the decor dating way back to the general fantastic atmosphere. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Just wish I stayed close enough for it to still be my local ❤️
This bar is a trip to the past, with most of its design kept original from the late 1800s when it was built. Traditional and beautiful. A shame it's not in a better area of the city, but because of its not-so fortunate location you can enjoy reasonably priced drinks, including some very interesting cocktails!! Craft beers on tap always changing which is great. They are doing live jazz on some Tuesdays. We absolutely love this gem of a bar.

Great pub, very cool. Nice chilled attitude, popped in on a Friday night, DJ was playing some great tunes, very cool music. Nice crowd, friendly.
What a friendly traditional pub, bar staff were out this world. Was made to feel it was our local for years. A few work misfits and myself happened to find this pub on quiz night, good night and not your traditional boring pub quiz. The end you had to make a paper plane and throw it from one side of pub and for 5 points the one that flew the most distance. Great selection of guest beer and spirits
An incredible bar with great service, incredible cocktails, friendly staff and an amazing drinks selection. Just a great solid pub with very reasonable prices.
