The place was nice, and the service was top-notch! We came in to ask if the gravy has pork or not, and the staff said its halal!! We went in to dine in, waited for a while as the waitress was on another table, but then another waiter came to get our order and he asked if we want the fish cooked halal or normal way which I thought was very thoughtful cuz I myself didnt think that far, but big kidos for the waiter to care on their customer!! The food was perfect, fresh and filling. Love it! Would def go back again for the food n service😁😁😁

If you are ever near Glasgow Central and you fancy a fish supper, The Blue Lagoon on Gordon Street (outside the main station entrance) is a must! The service was top-notch, and every bite of the food was cooked to perfection. I had 1 battered and 1 breaded fish, mushy peas, chips and the curry sauce…..delicious.
The waitress was excellent. Very helpful and kind. Not to just us, but to the other patrons, including the children. She took time to interact with them directly. The food was good and plentiful.
Good food and great service from our friendly, attentive waitress, Nicolle. The restaurant is modern and spotlessly clean including the toilets. A lively, welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of fish restaurants of a bygone era, it was a an excellent choice for our lunch. We chose the two fish, fish tea option with a side order of mushy peas, and substituted the bread and butter for a roll and butter. The generous portion was perfectly cooked and well presented. All in all, a good experience and we'll definitely be back, oh - and the bill for 2 of us sitting in totalled £21.40. Great value these days.
Popped in here for a pretty late night snack after a 10 hour train journey to full me up after no eating all day. The gentleman that served me was extremely pleasant and welcoming and got a well deserved tip upon me leaving. Had the double jumbo sausage & chips and it was really nice, all done in really nice lit up restaurant.

The gluten free fish was lovely, the batter was lovely and crisp - not soggy at all!
Make sure you're careful, I was initially given bread that wasn't gluten free - this was remedied quickly!

Lunch here today. Excellent food and friendly staff. So nice to find somewhere serving tradition fish & chips and chicken & chips. Well done hope to visit again.

Stopped in and tried deep fried haggis and deep fried mars bar. Both were good for a quick bite of street food. I really liked the texture of the fry batter on the haggis and how it tasted with malt vinegar.

If you want halal and very tasty food, this is the right address. Staff are especially friendly. Very important: tell them in advance that you want halal food. Special preparations. Different oil etc. Special Fish Tea menu is satisfying with only one fish. Prices are reasonable.
Had a lovely fish and chips. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are so friendly and attentive.

We had amazing service from Nicole. She was very attentive to our needs! Food options was really good especially for gluten free. We were travelling and looked for fish and chips in the area, this is the place.
Decided to eat in and I had the chicken and chips. I have not had a piece or chicken that tasted as good as this for probably about 20 years or so. Chips were pretty good as well. Portions were small, but with the cheap prices, that is understandable. Marked down to 4* for atmosphere, only because with the blue logo behind us, it made it a bit dark for my liking. Otherwise, all good.
