Went in ten minutes before closing time and they still put a pizza crunch on for me 5 stars
Decent chippy in the west end, surprisingly one of the only traditional chip shops near kelvinbridge (as far as I know). It's pretty standard for a chippy, the prices are very reasonable and they do numerous lunch deals. I had the sausage supper, which surprisingly came with two sausages - a very large portion. If you want some traditional fish and chips you could do far worse.
Very generous store, even gave us free food tasting, we will definitely go again! As students from China, we are very honored by the warm hospitality we received. We love Glasgow and we love fish and chips, so we recommend ordering in.
Loved this chippy for years. High standards never slip. Delicious chippy food. Yum. Don't use Just Eat, their delivery drivers have a habit of not showing up for work. Tired of ordering delivery and then it gets cancelled.
Great cheap prices for food. The pizza crunch is made fresh and then deep fried for a sinful meal
Best chippy in town. Affordable, lovely staff and not to mention their fabulous(!!) fritters and pizza crunches
In my view the number one choice for traditional fish and chips in Glasgow's West End. The staff have decades of experience and it shows. Superb batter and very good fish. Chips also just right. I can't fault this Kelvinbridge institution.
Local institution as a chippy. Pizzas are superb value (better than the fish and chips) and better than kebab shop/American branded chain fare. Always wished the portions of chips were a tad more generous. Still 5 stars.
Nice local fish and chip shop. Good prices and good sized portions. The chips are nice, although I find if you visit at off-peak times you can sometimes find the food has been sitting on display for a while and dried out.
A West End institution. Their food is always excellent but I have deducted a star because although they offer a choice of fish, lay couple of times they were out of at least one. Also I'm sure they used to offer plaice about 15 years ago but no longer do.
Fish 7/10, chips 6/10, curry sauce 2/10 (far too watery). Staff very nice and friendly but it's no west coast chippy. Pretty average.
Best chippy in Glasgow by at least a mile! The place is spotless, the staff are lovely and the food is great. Don't miss the pizza, it's one of the best takeaway food options in the city.
1st class chippy. The only chippy I really go to. I live no where near it but when I find myself in the area I treat myself. You could definitely do a lot worse things in this life of ours. The whole area around it I find very relaxing.
Best chippy in Glasgow. They usually have fritters that are amazing. Would definitely recommend
Best seafood pizza in Glasgow and probably best pizza but I don't think I have ever ordered any other kind. Great chippy too.
Great Wee Chippy, been around for years. The Pizzas are absolutely to die for, the pizza base sauce is close guarded family secret. 🌟
