The food was amazing Masha Allah, Even though we ordered medium spice it was quite spicy but the flavour was “chefs kiss” The mocktails were very yummy! Unfortunately I can’t upload videos of the food!

Ambience: The restaurant felt more of canteen/hostel style, so wouldn’t recommend for quiet/romantic dinners. There are no side/corner tables so everyone can almost see everyone. Food: Had Veg Biryani, Chilli Paneer, Naan and Paneer Butter Masala. Authentic, tasty, great variety, reasonable prices - ticked all options mostly. However, felt unnecessary usage of food colouring and oil. In curries, you could see a very thin layer of red-coloured oil floating.

Recently my wife and I visited The Village for lunch. The food is always great with generous portions. The establishment is clean. The prices are fair. The staff are friendly and attentive. There is parking available outside the Restaurant although it does have double yellow line markings but we've always been safe.

Visited Village Curry House after receiving quite a lot of recommendations to do so! It's a large restaurant and was fairly busy. The service was decent and the food was good too. The Chicken Pakora was lovely, garlic naan breads were delicious and the South Indian was tasty but a bit light on the spice! The lamb bhuna was excellent and so was the chicken balti. Would visit again.

This place is classicly well known in Glasgow. Genuinely, one of the best places to eat if your after a home cooked style desi munch. I have been here 15+ times. Honestly reviewing they have had days where the food can be better BUT when these guys perform it rivals alot of top tier places. The reason the food is a 5 is because they will genuinely make the food to spec, it will be delicious and instructions are relayed specifically. Theres a manager that has been working here for some time, hes good at what he does, is very respectful, sharp and it all shows. However, apperances and some customer service aspects need slightly improving. I.e., proactiveness. I have had a range of dishes here but standardly as a rule its good to stick to the classics. This place is not 'lets try something different'. Its lets get an amazing classical balti or tandoori curry. Never had a really long wait whilst ive been and if there are any issues they get resolved reasonably.

Curry is very nice 👍 nice environment, parking was not too hard on the street near the entrance. We went on Sunday. Kids are warmly welcomed in the restaurant , we booked in advance so the staff put our table pretty much inside , and not disturbing 😳 other clients too much .

FOR THE LOVE OF FOOD WE VISITED VILLAGE CURRY HOUSE GLASGOW SOUTHSIDE. ORDERED MIXED GRILL• GOOD SELECTION AND THERE IS A FEW Different MIXED GRILLS TO CHOOSE THE LAZIZA MIXED GRILL CHICKEN TIKKA WAS DRY EVEN WITH SAUCE CURRIES`~ BUTTER CHICKEN AND LAMB KARAHI THE LAMB KARAHI WAS Slightly SPICY SPICY FISH LOOKED LIKE FROZEN FISH WITH MASALA NOTHING SPECIAL SAME WITH CHEESE SEEKH KEBAB TASTES NO DIFFERENT TO THE NORMAL ONE. THE MAIN PROBLEM WAS THE ULTRA SLOW SERVICE TAKES 40MIN TO GIVE STARTER AND THE Restaurant IS EMPTY FOR Thursday NIGHT. AND WAITERS ARE NOT REALLY WANTING TO SERVE AND ARE TOO BUSY IN THE BACK SOMEWHERE VILLAGE CURRY HOUSE AND KEBABISH ARE GLASGOW SOUTHSIDE WELL KNOWN AND COMPETITORS IN THE TRADE AND I FEEL THAT KEBABISH IS A LOT BETTER. 8/10 FOR THIS EATERY

I have eaten in this place every time I have been to Glasgow. Food is more suited to western palate. However still very tasty. Huge selection of foods to cater for all food types. They make a banging sweet lassy

Really good food at a decent price. Always make a point of coming here when I’m Glasgow and it’s always busy but service is always friendly and attentive. Food is great (never had a bad dish) and the price is good, something that seems rare these days.

The Village is a restaurant landmark of Glasgow having been here for decades. I have been coming here almost weekly for years. Restaurant is clean and I like that you can see into the kitchen and be reassured by the cleanliness and good preparation. Food is always on point and they have lots of options and desi style dishes as well. Staff are always polite and attentive. Ignore the other negative reviews, all places can alow down when busy. They can make any dish to any spice level. Recommend ginger handi and lamb karahi. I would highly recommend the Village and would say it is probably one of the best desi (indian and Pakistani) restaurants in Glasgow.

Met some friends for lunch. Waitress was very polite and helpful. Food was good and reasonable priced. I had the masala salmon and chips for a change which I enjoyed. They have their own car park which was useful, it's not huge but there were plenty of spaces at lunchtime.

Excellent food, made fresh and reasonably priced. Been there many times and cannot fault it. It isn’t a licensed restaurant, their commitment is on the food.

Great tasting authentic Asian food . Full of flavour . Decent portions . Takeaway waiting times can be painfully long when busy & telephone orders are very rarely ready when they say they will be. Lunch menu for Takeaway is very good value for money without any compromise on the quality of food . Highly recommend stuffed crust pizza Mix kebabs very nice If you've never tried it, you'll never know what you're missing out on

The oldest and most spacious curry house in Glasgow. Family owned. Very well laid out. Service is fantastic. And food is great too. Freash Lamb on the bone Karahi is fabulous. Do try it out.
