A Little Emerald Gem. This Irish themed pub sits on the corner of Merchant Square. It's a large venue and feels a little dead on a quiet Saturday afternoon. I sat at one of the terrace tables overlooking the indoor square. This area was busy and had a nice atmosphere. The service was both friendly and quick and I had the Irish pork and leak sausages and colcannon with onions and gravy. It both looked and tasted wonderful. The plump sausages were nicely charred and the gravy was dark and rich. All the dishes were great value for this area and I wouldn't hesitate to come back.
If you are looking to watch sport and get a table with friends you can’t go wrong. Loads of screens and space. Open area into the merchant square itself is quite classy. Drinks and food aren’t anything remarkable but it’s quietly efficient and has a good atmosphere
Regular visitor. Busy pub in merchant City. Door staff are decent. Wait at bar can be a long one, testament to the demand. Toilet attendant on site. Large screens so ideal for sporting events. Plenty of space to move around.
Great place to meet up with friends & friendly staff also defo be back soon
Love a wee Rhubarb gin with ginger beer! Ailsa gave me orange as requested 😋 awesome!
First time in years had a proper gammon steak with pineapple. Would prefer table service but can't really complain about the guys behind the bar.
Lovely big bar with plenty of room. Was quiet when I was there as it was an afternoon leaving doo. Great selection of booze but city prices. Spotlessly clean and a nice staff. Has some pizza and it was very good.
Can't say too much I only went in for one drink before moving on to another venue.
Service was good and the beverage was as I expected. Did not eat but the menu looked good. Excellent location will visit again and this time have some food and drinks.
This was our first dining experience in Scotland and we absolutely loved it! From the service when we entered, to our drinks, to the wait service. Everyone was extremely welcoming and hospitable! The bangers and mash was absolutely delicious and the chicken stack was surprisingly wonderful! The only complaint is that they were out of fish and chips but we certainly made do with other menu items! Thanks O'Neill's!
It was a lovely and a really good atmosphere. The bar staff were lovely. The best pub so far.
Nice pub & friendly staff, visited during the day midweek so wasn't much atmosphere. Food looked good been served to nearby tables.
Our visit was amazing had a great wee day/night staff and door staff were friendly and kind will definitely visit again😊
Overall great staff team. Friendly, efficient and nothing ever a bother. Service is always quick and the food is very affordable. They've gained a wonderful addition lately with Jackie joining; always takes an interest and chats away, remembers the regulars and it makes such a difference. Used to see her at her last pub, they've lost an absolute gem, but I'm chuffed for O'neills and I'm sure there will be plenty of developments ahead. Keep it up team O'neills! I'll be back soon for a few!
Great bar and fantastic staff. Popped in for food and drinks and really enjoyed it. Will definitely return.
Had a great time on Saturday night with the girls. Staff are all friendly and service was great. Special shout out to Jackie who looked after us all night 💃🏻 Music was great and danced all night 💃🏻 Everyone had food and drinks, all round great night 👌🏼
