First visit with friend for lunch. Loved comfortable rustic feel of venue. Terrific staff . Very friendly and helpful. Though not vegetarian, i had a vegetarian stack.Which consisted of a large baked slice of sourdough bread topped with mushrooms, spinach, sundried tomatoes and i added a poached egg it was delicious but only complaint, which was quickly remedied, was that it was a bit on cold side when served. Attentive waiter dealt with that swiftly. My friend had Fish Soft Tacos which he very much enjoyed. Coffees were excellent also. Whole package coming in at just over £30 inc. 3 coffees and a beer. Situated very close to Queens Park on main Pollokshaws Rd, This is a place i would love to try for evening dinner.4/8/23. Good as last time, everything perfect .
Gluten free beer available! The value for money tempted us for dinner (buy one get one free on main meals on a Tuesday!!) which would describe as good pub food with an extensive vegan menu.
Also 40% off some unique and tasty cocktails. The staff were really lovely, the vibe was top. A really nice evening location we stayed at much longer than the initial pint we intended!
Went to eat here before a concert. The servers were amazing and some of them were going to the concert as well. The vibe at the place was amazing. And OH MY! The food was absolutely fantastic. I had a creamy macaroni with garlic bread and i’ve been DREAMING about it every day since we went there. Can’t recommend this place enough!!
Came here today for an early dinner, hadn’t booked but got a table inside. Friendly and helpful staff. We were a bit worried for our nut allergy child with several peanut options on menu but with being assured her meal would be prepared separately & clean boards etc we ordered. She had a kids steak pie & chips which was delicious and a good size for price.
The Chicken tempura was delicious. Just the right amount of seasoning. We had to wait a little while but that was understandable when a big table had ordered just before us.
A wonderful pub with really well executed food and attentive staff. They even have a whole separate vegan menu. Will be coming again.
Good place for a first date. Delicious selections, full vegetarian menu, fairly priced drinks and plates. Music was a bit loud for proper conversations but playlist was excellent. Service was friendly and accommodating but a bit slow on the night we were there. To be fair, it was a busy night.
Favourite place in the Southside. All the staff are absolutely lovely and go above and beyond on every visit.
Also the best Bloody Mary I have ever had!
Only ever been in Stag and Thistle twice (once in Kilmaurs and then again today in Shawlands) and they certainly don't disappoint! Laura was the person who served us most of the day and she was amazing, as well as the drinks! Absolutely fantastic place and we will definitely be back!!

Great pub, lovely atmosphere. Great for families and nights out. Staff are all lovely. The fish tacos are a must.

First visit and its not often I come across somewhere as good as this bar and restaurant. Staff at a different level when serving and food excellent.

Lovely pint and the Mrs had a lovely coffee. Dog friendly and my girl got lots of treats.
