We visited Tinderbox in Princes Square in Glasgow and my partner hadn't been so I was very excited to introduce the concept to him about how it works as he hasn't had loose tea before, we scanned the menu and we liked that there was a good range of different teas to suit everyone's needs, I personally went for the peppermint flavour and I did like that next to the sugar section there were drops of honey which enhanced the peppermint flavour. You get the choice of sitting inside or outside on the balcony and it's quite busy too. If you are inside you get the benefit of using their power outlets to charge your devices while relaxing and enjoying the cup of tea. The staff here are very knowledgeable and are always happy to educate you about the different teas and encourage you to try something new.
Order a soya cappuccino and a vegan gypsy cream. Cappuccino was decent but the gypsy cream was the best I've ever tasted.. lighter than any I've ever had before. I also got a magic bag from toogoodtogo which had a great selection of toasties and cakes.
I sat in the outdoor seating area. There was onlt one other customer outside but lots of uncleared tables which stopped from a 5 star rating.
We made a return to Tinderbox after 8 years away from Glasgow, a place we used to frequent regularly.
It looked and felt like we had never been away. As in, nothing changed at all. As a result, it was a bit tired and needing some tlc but the usual quality of coffee and service stood out.
Food was ok, nothing special but good all the same.
Wasn't too busy inside, so we managed to get a seat for the 5 of us.
A shame it hasn't moved on or been refreshed as it's a lovely spot in Princes Sq and it's great coffee, with a cracking team.
Top tip, you can get an escalator from Buchanan St all the way to the top level. It's in the middle of the two walkway entrances.
The place hasn't changed much in 7 years and remains a must go bar for cocktails.
Loved the 4 we took.
Can sit in - our "outside" in Princes Square. Great place to catch up for a cappo.
I love coming here, it’s always pretty busy but there is plenty of seating. Staff cope really well with business which is great! Always really friendly too. Prices are a bit steep but can’t complain because that seems to be the case every where - competitive prices.
Excellent place with good seating arrangements. I have been here a few times and overall experience is also down to cafeteria staff. Sometimes I found delightful people and sometimes not so much :)
Great temperature. Tasted wonderful. The chocolate dusting was not done by staff, but look at it, it's so well done.
Lovely environment, good coffee, nice service. I asked for a coffee they did not normally sell (but they could easily make) and they were happy to make it for me. The prices are also reasonable. So, an easy 5-star! 🙂
Best cappuccino in Glasgow. Carefully made, and tasty, tasty cakes. 😄
Excellent all round highly recommend
Great coffee in a nice location in Prices Sq. A good place to stop off while shopping.
Went for the first time on Monday evening to meet a friend, she ordered tea and myself, a soya cappuccino. from ordering to collecting it was a good 10 minutes. I felt it was a little slow, but to be fair, it was busy. But the coffee itself was nice. We sat inside and it wasn't noisy so we could talk. Even after 1½ hours, there was no pressure to leave which was nice.
Lovely place within Princes Square. A real haven from the hustle and bustle. The cappuccino was a welcome delight to help thaw out from the biting winds. The cakes looked awesome but I managed to refrain on this occasion. If not I would have wanted one of everything!
