What a treat we had on Sunday night! An awesome meal in a great setting with all the fires burning. Prosseco served in front of the fire followed by a three course meal and tea and coffee and delicious petit fours. Service was excellent and wine perfectly chilled. Superb value for money and looking forward to our next visit.

We got married here in 2013 so decided to return for an overnight dinner, bed and breakfast. The hotel was as we remembered and the staff were as friendly and welcoming as they were during our wedding weekend. Lovely walk on the grounds followed by one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The food was exceptional and the table next to us said it was the best meal they had ever had. Overall a great stay. We are planning on g getting a lodge for the weekend with the kids next year but we will certainly be back for the food in the short term.
We had a lovely 2 night stay in a family sung room with our 4 year old - the room was cosy. They grounds are great for kids to explore and they even have a small swing and slide set outside if the weather is nice.
We ate at the dungeon restaurant both nights and the food was fantastic - like upper class pub food. The staff were lovely with our 4year old. The lamb was especially tasty, try the haggis spring roll.
This hotel is really brilliant, the building is fascinating. The dinning room is down in the bowels of the castle, the most unusual place we have ever eaten amazing as was the food. Apparently it is very popular for wedding and we could see why.
We had a wonderful time at Culcreuch Castle Hotel. I had dreamt of visiting the Castle since I learnt as a young child in New Zealand that for more than 700 it has been the ancestral seat of the Galbraith Clan - my family. Now, aged 60 my dream has become reality and we stayed the night in the luxurious Baron’s Suite at the top of the Castle. One and all, the staff treated us as honoured guests, just as they treated everyone else. We had a marvellous time. It was awesome. The food in the Castle’s Dungeon Restaurant was superb, as was the generous breakfast this morning before we left. I hope to return to Scotland one day - sooner rather than later. When i do, I’m heading straight back to Culcreuch Castle - a home away from home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each one of you wonderful staff members who made my dream come true in such a memorable way. God bless you all.
Stunning scenery in every direction of this historical castle. Its off the beaten path and not commercialized so has kept its secret, unexploited charm. The rooms are quaint and comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful and served in a beautiful upstairs room by a courteous staff. We are not fancy people and I feared we would not fit in but we were treated graciously by everyone we encountered. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We will definitely come back. What an amazing experience!!
The rooms are unique and beautiful. Dining in the dungeon is a must! The surrounding grounds are perfect for exploring the beauty of the Scottish countryside. The wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend.
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Castle in September. As soon as we visited we knew it was the perfect venue for us. Over the year of planning Mary Anne was very patient and thorough in planning and on the day had every second of the day under control whilst Robert was incredibly helpful and a great Master of Ceremonies. On the day of the wedding both could not have done more to make our day perfect. Even the things that went wrong which were out of their control! We had many conversations about a certain area of the venue which I was not keen on and as a surprise on the big day they had gone above and beyond to make it beautiful. The food was wonderful and the whole weekend was perfect. We will have the fondest memories of our day and it will be no hardship to return to Culcreuch for our anniversaries!
We had our wedding here on the 7th of April 2018 and it was perfect. As well as being a stunning venue, Mary Anne and her team of staff were amazing. They accommodated all of our quirky ideas and ensured the day, and indeed lead up, was relaxed-something we are very grateful for. We cannot thank them all enough for helping to make our day so special and will definitely be back soon. It is also worth mentioning that the food is absolutely treeemendous! Claire and Dan
We stayed at the Culcreuch Castle for two nights in the Baron room. It is a comfortable room with plenty of space. The breakfast was ok, but not as much variety as in other hotels. We ate dinner twice at the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. I would recommend for the dinner reservation in advance.
I had my wedding reception here on the 21st July. It was everything I could have hoped for. The staff were fantastic, Mary Anne especially. Any unexpected issues I ran in to on the days leading up to the wedding were no problem at all for the team and on the day itself, I was able to just relax and enjoy the day, knowing Mary Anne and her team had it covered. I cannot thank you all enough for helping to make my day special.
We were at the castle for a wedding reception. It was a lovely venue, the room was very nice. The L shaped layout did mean you couldn't see the dancefloor from the seating area.
The building and grounds were a great location for photos
Lovely welcoming staff looked after us and our dogs ! Great coffee and shortbread . Open fire in winter . Delicious food available for lunch and evenings. Staff were keen to help out when we lost something and soothed the usual panic!
Had a great time celebrating the engagement of James and Lisa. The Galbraith Hall was perfect for the occassion. The buffet was delicious. Staff were very friendly and well organised.
A bit of a drive to get to but it is the perfect setting for a special occasion
Fantastic building and rooms, steeped in history with friendly and helpful staff. Food was amazing and hats off to the chef for a wonderful ‘veggie’ meal for my wife. Will definitely be back!
Had a wee overnight ..Castle was lovely. Very peaceful and relaxing .staff amazing very helpful friendly ..Shannon who works in the bar and restaurant is fantastic and credit to the company .very happy telling us the history of the castle .. a pleasure to speak with ...looking forward to another wee overnight soon. .thanks for making our wee stay memorable xx
Stayed here for a couple of days for my fathers birthday. Had an absolutely wonderful experience. All of the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable about the history of the castle and the Galbraith clan that used to live there. The General Manager Robert Reynolds was excellant as well. He gave us a little presentation about the castle and showed some old family documents to our group. It would be impossible for me to say anything negative about our stay. Would have loved to stayed longer.
