If you ever want to go to a place where you can play board games, have a decent cup of coffee or play trading card games with people, the Geek Retreat is there. I've come here on my own and I've come here with my partner and I feel it's got the same charm as it did the first time. It's a nice place to relax and play different board games I wouldn't have normally played with. There is a community here and even though I haven't felt like I've fit in with them, it's nice to observe them from a distance.

The atmosphere here is magical! There were magic and Pokemon tournaments/games happening. Bought a couple singles and 3 Brilliant Stars booster packs from here! Although prices for the singles are on the expensive side, we totally HIT on the packs!

This store is an absolute must visit hidden gem in the centre of Glasgow for any TCG collector or player that may be passing through. The staff are super friendly, welcoming and helpful. It’s rare that you are able to find a store that sell singles, and this store is no exception. The prices are fair and there’s certainly a reasonable range! It’s also worth noting that there was an MTG tournament taking place during our visit, yet the staff still had plenty of time for us. The sealed stock is also impressive, you can also have them send away cards for you to have graded by ‘Get Graded’. Definitely worth the visit, I highly recommend!

Tournaments happening while we were there! They had a lot of single Pokemon cards and new booster packs. You can also buy booster boxes here. At the time, we bought some Brilliant Star booster packs, but they also had some Fusion Strikes. There's a lot of Magic the Gathering cards. Also sells plenty of other game items such as D&D books. Staff were friendly and happy to help!

I've loved Geek Retreat for years. The switch to the new location has made it even better! It's a fantastic place for social gaming from board games to Warhammer and MTG.

Great place, usually very lively and feels much more open and accessible now that it has changed location from the basement area it was in prior. Events look to be expanding due to the new space along with new events being added

This place has a good number of tables where you can play your tabletop games. The place has grown to run many competitive games in many different games. Worth checking out to see what they run. Staff are very nice and helpful.

Awesome place. Staff are lovely and the refreshments are cheap but good quality. Its a good place to go to hang out, you can bring your own board/card games or they have a selection you can just play for free. They also do events for card games and role-playing games that I haven't had chance to check out but it's good to know they're available!

Very friendly and helpful staff, they lent us some Pokémon decks and taught us how to play. Drinks were great, food looked great, overall great atmosphere. Only thing to note is that they have various themed community evenings throughout the week (ie Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, DnD) some of those seemed like they could get a little loud and busy so if you're after more of a quiet/cozy atmosphere might be better to visit during the day.

Went with my son, first time hed been in properly. Staff were wonderful, talked him through the menu, made him feel welcome and even gave him a lucky dip pack when he bought some cards. A great experience for him and he can't wait to come back.
