Remember going here as a teenager in winter for Hot Orange or Bovril and that was a long time ago. Still go for sweeties and their ice cream which is simply the best.

You come for the ice cream but it's got a lot more with sweeties and sandwiches etc. A lot of their Sandwich fillers or their chips are stuff they buy but I found it all very filling. Prices are a bit high, but you're also helping a local business compete against the local supermarkets.

Absolute gem of cafe and the owners are absolutely wonderful people. Haven’t been here for a while as longer working around Glasgow. If you are in the area do yourself a favour and visit this cafe! Soak up the classic feel of the place and most importantly the people!

One of the few remaining traditional Italian cafes in Glasgow. The Ice cream is excellent (natural banana is a treat) and the coffee and breakfast rolls are great too - really nice roll & sausage. Great selection of sweets in jars as well as the usual chocolate bars, crisps etc. Also do slush drinks.

Great old style sweet shop, they do hot food too, the cheeseburger and chips doesn't look up to much but I assure you that you won't taste better in the so called "trendy" burger places.

Fantastic wee cafe in the Southside! They have the best ice-cream (try the traditional vanilla or the coconut as both are delicious). The cafe has a fine selection of old fashioned sweeties. The homemade tablet is also a firm favourite. The staff are all super friendly too.

This is the real McCoy, or the real Coia, as the case may be. Joe and his family have been in residence since the early 70's. This is your classic, authentic Glasgow/Italian cafe. Proper Italian ice-cream, a range of traditional sweets to keep that smile on your Grannie's face, and the bacon rolls? Proper thick bacon, fresh rolls daily and real butter! There's nothing in Joe's shop that you need to sustain life but everything that makes life worth living.....

Shawlands oldest Cafe and now being run by Joe And Jan, hard working team who never seem to be away from the place, Will need to start a calling Joe Mr Coia as he’s been there since he was a boy now running the show. Time to take your good lady to Italy and learn how to make Minestrone Soup. Prego
