Had the hamhough special, mouth is still watering! So tender and juicy, fell straight off the bone! Was on a bed on creamy mash and root veg, cooked to perfection in a scrummy honey glaze. Brief visit for a bite to eat. Despite the chef not being in for some reason, the owner (I think) offered to cook me up a steak and chips which were lovely. Apparently there is also some musical entertainment on certain weekends.
Food is good, pints a bit pricey and not the greatest selection. But it's a decent pub, nice decor but not a lot of atmosphere

Best pint of Guinness for miles. Glasses spotless and the bar staff were very pleasant and friendly. Had some lunch which was very good.
Lovely country feel pub serving delicious home made food for very reasonable prices. There's a small room at one end of the pub with an roaring fire and the other end is an open space with a pool table and tables too.
