Actually not bad at all. Good selection of dishes, reasonable value. I am assured the food is prepared fresh, good sized portions and tasty.
Picture House, Rutherglen. Nice atmosphere, meals were great, large portions, kids well catered for. Will be going back again.

Visiting my in-laws in Rutherglen and stopped by for lunch - my husband remembers this spot as a picture house not a pub! It is always busy with mums and their kids as well as older folk catching up over lunch. The fish & chips are excellent , Haggis rated as good by my Scots family and the prices are reasonable (especially if you are using SA Rand exchange rate :() service is good & fairly quick even when they are busy - can get quite noisy but is not overwhelming. Definitely a favorite with my in-laws..
Amazing high quality food with amazing deals where you can grab a real bargain drinks are priced fairly but the food menu is by far ever way much better than a much bigger better known name near bye.
All I can say is I gave three stars simply because it was quiet while my friend and I had a late lunch and thought it was delicious, My choice was their chicken bacon and leek pie, and my friend had a double beef-burger bun which he really enjoyed, We will be back sometime in the near future.

Arrived about 8.00pm with some friends. Been before that's why we came back. Food was excellent. We all had to catch a bus home at 9.30pm only an hourly service so hadn't stayed long enough to assess over a longer period of time. Staff are very friendly and efficient in this place.
Good climate, tasty food (just that bread looking like with banana ☺️ ). Waited for food around 1hr. But staff very friendly and helpful. There also was fish - tasty. And one more portion of garlic bread, which rules 😋. I think because of pandemic time, there was less staff. Delay forgotten. Really recommend food.
Excellent food and drink for the prices. I did get a flat pint but one of the bartenders made a new one without me even asking him. The staff are friendly and the app is pretty good too (which in Corona times is important). Considering how rough some of the pubs are around Rutherglen, they do well at keeping things civilized.
Really enjoyed our meal here. Good and service great. Will be back.
Situated at the end 🔚 of the Main street Rutherglen and there is a small parking area. Pub is nicely decorated, TV 's on the walls showing sports. Staff are friendly enough and helpful. Dog friendly, so Charlie was welcomed, even got water and a few treats👍Food and drink at reasonable prices and well presented. If you are looking for a decent pub with decent facilities and staff/ food , you can't go wrong. Would recommend
We enjoyed a great visit today, celebrating a birthday with family, seven of us.
We selected a range of starters and main meals across the menu and they were really good, great portions and well prepared.
Definitely a great way to spend a Saturday and I will be back, with family and friends.

Don't Get Mushrooms Pie first of all the pie is two bits of pastries cook without the filling and then the fill is dropped in.

On a few months and I'm back in the Picture House lovely day and I ate fish,chips and peas. To my surprise the peas were not over cooked as they mostly are in pubs the chips were warm and the fish was a little bit to greasy but beautiful taste. So it you read the first.
4/5 from me this time.
The gammon steak was massive 👌 dog friendly, and the bar staff were class even came back to ask how the food was always a good touch 😀 👌 and dog got water and a snack what's not to like 😁
Rang last minute for a table for father's day and they were very accomodating..greated very well by the lady supervising the staff of which were very polite and attentive but not overbearing ..drinks and food came in good time when ordered and the food was good... 4 clean plates iv added some pictures we had desserts but forgot to take picture's. We will definitely be back thankyou
Food was so beautiful, my sandwich was adapted to what I like for calorie counting, Vicki was just lovely as always. My husband had the new chicken burger and he loved it. Fast and friendly service as always xxxx
Lovely food great service, bit noisy to be honest music was quite loud, but then it was early Saturday evening so we should have expected this
