Lovely pub with a Black Forest theme. Fantastic Guinness, available in room temperature (superior) version but incongruously expensive; Guinness and a Black Isle lager came to ÂŁ10.20

Great pub that has been independent for many years. Changed hands recently but still cool. Nice crowd, good prices, lots of seats, especially when the upstairs bar is open. Have some good international beers too and fine whisky selection. Jukebox too. Unpretentious but charming.
Exactly what you’d expect from a keystone pub at a 19th century tenement development area. Good alcohol, good people, good venue. Pub quizzes and occasional love music are the cherry on top of the beer batter cake. Come for the pint stay for making your mark at this old institution
