Got to admit I was surprised on my visit to the ivy last Monday. Pleasantly. Food was lovely, tasty and well presented and plenty for a lunch.
We ordered from the set menu at £22 for 3 courses. Excellent value in my opinion. The service was fantastic although our server changed during the meal I have only compliments for how that was handled, and both were adept at keeping things flowing.
A surprise birthday cake appeared which delighted my wife despite it not being her birthday for a couple of days.
Would I go back? Definitely!
Would I recommend a visit? Definitely!
Well done The Ivy. At least 2 delighted customers.
Had a reservation for a birthday dinner. Received appetizers before our 2 cocktails, and had to remind our server of the drinks before they finally arrived about 30 minutes after ordering. One drink was completely wrong (old fashioned instead of gin fizz.) Food was just as excellent as the atmosphere!! The mix of Asian cuisine is such a tasty treat!
Very busy restaurant and enjoyable evening meal in impressive surroundings. Service was excellent throughout. Beer and wine was more expensive than normal but its The Ivy and expensive along with the optional 12.5% gratuity added to the bill
As a treat I like to go to The Ivy if there is one where I'm visiting. Today was the first time visiting for three of my friends. I was worried they might not enjoy the experience as much as me. However we definitely picked the right Ivy for their first time.
The experience, I feel, is always well worth it, but what really made it at this particular place was the staff who were second to none. They were so very jovial whilst maintaining the professional Ivy way. They paid attention to detail and went above and beyond to make our visit special. This applied to all staff we encounetred; the male and female welcoming us at the door, as well as the two males behind the bar.
As always the cocktails were amazing, well worth every penny. And the toilets were just stunning.
My friends are definitely converts thanks mostly to the fab staff.
Came here for brunch and ordered the eggs royale and chips - really delicious! The downstairs seating is beautifully decorated and much more comfortable than upstairs in my opinion. I did made a booking, however they gave my booking to the wrong group so we ended up waiting 10-15 minutes for staff to find us a seat, so they’ve lost a star on this occasion!
The Ivy at Buchanan Street is a well appointed restaurant, with great ambience and some amazing bartenders! We had some really good cocktails that were customised on our request.. kudos to the amazing service there. We did the set meal, and each course was pitch perfect including the most fantastic “cloud” dessert.
Was my first time visiting any of the Ivy branches with my boyfriend as we though we would treat ourselves. What a lovely atmosphere, from the decor to the service everything was just such a high standard! Our server Ryan in the upstairs bar and restaurant was charismatic and punctual with our food and drinks. He did run us down the menu and the specials. We ordered the Tempura Squid ( £10.95) and Duck roll sushi (£11.95) off their Asian side of the menu. For mains we couldn’t resist a sirloin steak both cooked to perfection (medium rare at £27.95 each) we also ordered some sides of chips, mash potato, tomato and basil salad and broccoli (each side extra ranging (£4.50-£5.50). We also had the lychee aperol spritz and the watermelon one as well, assuming these are seasonal cocktails, again *chefs kiss* speechless at the taste. Just worth mentioning there is an added service charge when you come to pay, my partner and I wanted to add a bigger tip anyway cause the service is just that good you don’t feel pressured or expected to buy more either. Just a Comfortable yet fancy dining experience. My boyfriend and I were so impressed by how everything tasted and we are definitely going to be talking about this meal until we come back to visit 💕
Never fails to impress; great atmosphere, attentive staff and a guaranteed expansive and interesting menu. The hoisin duck sushi was amazing. Monkfish and prawn curry, with crisped sweet potatoes, and the mango cheesecake were beautiful. Treat yourself.
Always love visiting The Ivy wherever we’re in a new city! And this one didn’t disappoint - great atmosphere, attentive staff and delicious food - 10/10. Plus the bathrooms upstairs are an interior designers dream!
I had a fantastic meal in the Ivy recently. The food was well prepared and looked really appetising. The service is first class. As it was my wife's birthday they gave her a complimentary desert with a happy birthday message
