Reviews The Edwardian Kitchen Restaurant Pollok House

This kitchen is part of the Pollok House NTS property and serves reasonably priced lunches and snacks throughout the day. We had our dog with us, so we sat outside and had a very tasty lunch. Staff are very pleasant and hard working. Soup add-on of £1 to sandwiches seemed like the bargain of the day. It's all very enjoyable. The Kitchen is just to the left of this photo. We received everything on our order except the soup, which I had to back in for to remind them.

Brilliantly evocative Edwardian environment. Food is superior vis-a-vis other heritage venues. Delightful staff. Sometimes slow. Overall, recommended.

Wonderful setting, clean and well maintained. Had the smoked cheese and chutney on cibatta with potato salad and a slice of rhubarb and custard later cake. Everything was delicious. Staff were lovely and helpful. They also let us fill our water bottle up before we went on our way.

Visited on a busy bank holiday weekend and understandably the service was hurried though professional and friendly. Menu was varied, included sandwiches and a few bigger plates with a large offering for kids. Dishes were nice, nothing noteworthy but decent sized portions. Nice drinks selection - hot, cold and some beer/cider/wine. Pricing is at the higher end of cafe food, not sure that it was worth it given the lack of quality. The section of Pollock House it sits in is soaked in history and the decor reflects this, the outdoor seating is nicely done and is dog friendly.

The former kitchen of the manor has an exciting atmosphere. You can still see the old fireplace and authentic ovens that were once used. Today there is a cafe with plenty of wooden benches and basic seats for the guests. In winter this is a cosy place to sip your tea or coffe and nibble on a wee biscuit. In the garden outside I saw a bowl with water for dogs.

It's a great cafe within Pollok House in Pollok Park, it has indoor and outdoor seating with a separate coffee and ice cream stand putside. It's a bit pricey tbh but it's a super lovely house and location, actually my favourite Park in Glasgow for walking and especially cycling around, the cafe sells great home made soups!

Lovely, freshly made food served by welcoming staff. Cafe is a real Edwardian kitchen with many of the fixtures and fittings of the time. Outside eating area available too. Bit pricey though! Great place to go before or after a walk in the park and gardens.

Dec 22: Shame the chefs are away so there's only tea, coffee and cakes! It's still a lovely place to visit though.

Good cafe, food higher quality than normal for these places. Limited selection, but always something we like available.

Staff were lovely, I see people complaining about price but it's a cafe in an old country park, in a lovely building. I don't know what they were expecting. regardless the cost is worth it for the enviroment you get to enjoy it in
