For chinese food lovers in Glasgow this is a must-have stop. The food is outstanding along with hospitality . with great taste it doesnt pinch the pocket too...good job guys..will be back soon.
Only down in Glasgow for one night with my wife and daughter. Decided to come here....and what a great decision that was. Food was excellent and all the staff were very welcoming and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Will definitely be back!
Made a sentimental journey on 29 sept for our 54th wedding anniversary. This chinese restaurant was where I had my first taste of Chinese food and my boy friend at the time tasted his second. Unbelieveable to have found it after all these years. At our age now the appetite is not what it used to be but the waitress/owner? was so patient and as they were not too busy was prepared to allow us to have a selection of dishes, I think about 8 small portions instead of choosing 2 main courses. It was a very happy and memorable occasion and cannot rate New City Palace highly enough. Pity maximum is 5 stars. Only regret is not being able to return. Why are there not more reviews? Recommend, recommend.
This restaurant is located on the north side of Sauchiehall St. between Hope St. and Renfield St (closer to Renfield). Don't be scared away by the entrance hallway. Walk down the hallway and up the stairs and the restaurant is upstairs and has a nice atmosphere. The food and service was very good!
