Seats are very comfortable. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts are the best in the area. Potato scones, black pudding, toast, beans, mushrooms, two eggs, for £6.91. After 12ish it goes upto an all day breakfast at £8.50. Coffee mocha is £2.99, but can tell the difference in quality. Worth it. Good for entertainment aswell. They have like 10 tvs with all different sports. Can't fault this place for enjoying your break from work.

Was a lovely day so we sat outside so didn't pay much attention to the inside but staff were nice and toilets clean

Great pub for a couple drinks, to watch some sports, and enjoy the atmosphere. Attentive, cheerful staff. Good quality food for the prices. Great location in the center of Glasgow. They'll typically have a couple different football games on if theyre are multiple on at once

Had a large group booking for a birthday celebration, and everything was spot on. We had a great table, it was very easy to sort drinks on our prepaid tab and staff were friendly. Couldn’t have asked for any more.

Hadn't been here before, but found it a really nice place to meet up with friends and have a blether. Didn't have any food, but the dishes I saw coming out looked very appetising.

Went to the Merchant bar after a trip in town. Stopped in for a pint. Sampled the Blue Moon, Belgium beer, excellent. Neave served me as she did until the end of her shift. Very welcoming and pleasant and the beer was excellent. Decided to stay a little longer and have something to eat. I asked at the bar, what they would recommend. Grant said the haddock and chips was excellent and he was right. Superb food and delicious beer. I'll definitely be back again. The staff are welcoming and helpful and make the place warm and vibrant.

Visited on Tuesday for lunch. Was served by Cate, she was very pleasant and well mannered. Will visited again, they have a small outdoor seating area which was busy too!

Comfortable pub at a good central location. Friendly staff deliver your ordered food to your table after ordering at the counter. Reasonable prices for both food and drink and a good menu to choose from. Excellent desserts must also be sampled!

Visited the Merchant tonight and was served by Jamie who was very informative and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Not a bad looking lad either ;)

Did not try food on this visit. Staff is a bit heavy with ice . Had to stop them from over filling glass. Good beer and spirit selections.

I went to the merchant with friends before attending a gig and had a fabulous experience. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere with a great food and drinks menu. Another plus for me was the multiple TVs laid out around the place which made it great for watching the football. Would definitely recommend.
