**Under New Management** A beautiful, wonderful, fresh & extremely welcoming bar. The food is absolutely delicious. Live music, singers, free Gin tasting nights, psychic nights & more. I am not from the area & felt so welcomed and the manager personally introduced herself which was lovely.
The Barrachnie Inn used to be a complete dive, but has recently been taken over and all I can say is wow! The interior has been completely refitted and feels open and fresh. It was quite busy when we went in, but we didn't have to wait for a table. The manager greeted u as we walked in and said she would be with us in a moment; she popped down drinks for another table then took us straight to a table for 2.
The menu is extensive and looks (and tastes) amazing. The price is brilliant! Where else can you get a rump steak for 8.99!! The food tasted amazing and was quick to arrive. The staff were attentive while we were there, very friendly and chatty.
They have karaoke, live bands/singers during the weekend, so it is a great place for a night out. Also have a gin tasting night coming up!
All in all this place has completely turned around. We will definitely be spending more time here, love the feel, staff and food.
The steak pie with mash & a jug of gravy was really tasty & melted in your mouth, the mixed grill was cooked to perfection, the manageress Liz is a really friendly lady, we used to eat at the Barrachnie on a regular basis, but stopped going a couple of years ago, but we will definitely be going back again.
After working about 12 days in a row I was looking to relax and play some pool and have a catch up with my father in law.
A few pints of Stella and a couple of halfs was just what the doctor ordered.
Friendly staff, nice and quiet (late Tuesday afternoon) and reasonable prices.
Drops one star as the pool table had a VERY noticeable roll and the chalk was like a cement brick.... minor I know but annoying nonetheless.
This has changed so much since I was last there. The decor is beautiful, the atmosphere is great and the food was lovely! Took my mum for lunch and she loved it, this could be our weekly treat!!

My mum and I have lunch here regularly. We are always made welcome and the personal banter with Mary the manager makes my mums day. The other customers are good natured and welcoming. Its a family pub. Just stay away on the day of a big football match as its "heaving" with fans and you can't hear yourself talk. Excellent place for rood, company and that wee bottle of wine.
We popped in today and had lentil soup & chunky bread and Steak pie,veg ,mash and a wee jug gravy..both dishes were luvly. Liz introduced herself and told us what the specials of the were. Staff attentive and luvly too..We will be back.. well done Barrachnie Inn xx
Went for lunch and the staff member Liz who looked after us was fabulous couldn't have asked for a better service. Steak pie was am amazing best I've had. Would highly recommend this place. Gina and $haron
Local pub for me and the family, great value for food and drinks, regularly get aa few beers and dinner for four for under £40. Always neat and tidy when we have been in during the day, can't vouch for the night time as haven't been in after six o'clock for nearly twenty years. Undergoing a refurb so will see what it's like when it reopens on 29th of June 2018

Good pub serving the usual bar food, Starks, grills fish and chips etc. . Good selection of beers and wines. Outdoor seated area which is nice when the weather is good.

Great service from very friendly staff. Food very tasty and very cheap as well. Great atmosphere with a variety of ages present.
Was in For a quick lunch. Extremely well priced sandwich, fries and soft drink. Would definitely drop in for the same.
