The menu outside says probably the best pub steak pie in Glasgow and its possibly true.Lovely tender chunks of meat and tasty mash.Good value for money.
The Iron Horse its a great wee local type pub been there for years does range food the drinks reasonable priced. Its next door to bookies so you tend to get lot older guys in the place. Also get shoppers looking for meal and quick drink. Good staff fast service typical Glasgow pub.
Loved their onion rings and haggis! Well seasoned and didn't need gravy. Very fresh tasting, super cozy truly Scottish interior, lovely mature patrons, and very helpful considerate staff.
Been in everyday for last 2 weeks for my lunch, food is amazing, wouldn't go any where else now for a pub lunch
Great wee pub, good atmosphere and the staff are friendly.
Great pub ..just sorry its closing on the 2nd of February 2020 ..I hope we have a big tartan army reunion before it closes
A nice escape from the streets of Glasgow. It was early evening when I was there so I cannot speak to what it is like when it is busy. If you are around this place in the evening I would recommend stopping in for a pint and collect your thoughts. Would have been five stars but the toilets were not very clean. Not that it should matter that much at a place like that but it did.
It's a pub that also sells food. Does what it says on the tin.
The price for a pint (and they have a good selection of draught/bottled) and a small bottle of wine were pretty reasonable for the city centre. The place is clean but not exactly modern and the staff are polite and cheery. 👍
Usually come in for a few pints, decided to mix things up a bit and had their Haggis Pakora with a very nice sweet 'n' spicy dip. Great service from barmaids Sara and Kirsten. I heartily recommend this pub.
Great place , tremendously good DJ and brilliant food at reasonable prices , bar staff were friendly and smiling and laughing , somehow I think they enjoy there jobs , only been there twice but bar staff had made me smile even the night they were busy had time to talk to me , it's a bar that reminds me off the one in the programme cheers ( you want to go where everyone knows your name ) the locals were even friendly !!!
I'd go back again no problem !!!
Went to The Iron Horse for the karaoke last Sunday. What a great night. Plenty of singers but made to feel welcome. The pub got busier as the night went on. Lots of visitors in town for the weekend found this pub. The karaoke host kept the atmosphere going all night. Will go back again
