A wonderfully intimate restaurant, serving up simple and delicious meals. Our first impression was complete surprise. Firstly because the kitchen is on display (visible from both the street, and from inside the restaurant), and secondly by its diminutive size (there wouldn't be more than 10 tables). Surprise was replaced by delight after receiving our first, second, and then third courses in timely succession. The adage 'less is more' is competently on display - all dishes tasted great without being overly complicated. Considering the price (2 courses £16, 3 course £18), the food was also generously proportioned. Be aware no kids menu is available, so instead we were offered a pared back version of the normal options (sauce on the side) which our 4 year old enjoyed.

Went on a meal deal and was mightily impressed. Food was excellent and portions very generous. Staff very attentive and courteous and establishment quirky. Definitely will be returning.

I have been going to Two Fat Ladies since there was only one. There are now lots of Fat Ladies in Glasgow! This is the original in Dumbarton Road and still small (sometimes too small), intimate and good fun. Great fish dishes. I love the cullen skink - although it's filling - and nearly always have the daily changing fish platter.

The original restaurant offering good seafood in a small setting. The lunch menu or pre theatre menu offer the best value in an otherwise slightly expensive place. Booking advised

Fantastic food all around. I had onion soup (yum!), languistines, and toffee pudding. Very cool atmosphere too!

Small and charming. The food was really good and with signature style, although not a cheap place. Def recommended.
