There is something magical in this place....absolutely the best place I have been in the last year. Cakes are delicious, coffee and tea were amazing! The staff is fantastic and extremely polite. Prices are more than affordable, I even had to ask if we were correctly charged as it was reaaaalllyyyy cheap for what we had!

Excellent cozy decoration, tasteful brunchy food, great variety of cakes and if you are lucky enough you can listen to funny jokes by the cooker! A must visit place for sure!

Absolutely wonderful and delicious American style cakes, with the decadent layers of sponge and icing not easily found in the UK. So many cakes to choose from -- there were more than 10 options when I visited -- and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Quirky and interesting. I could've spent my entire visit sitting in the toilet. (You just have to see it to get what I mean) The cake is great and the tea and coffee very reasonable. Friendly staff, quick service.

Almost out of this world afternoon tea! For just £20 you get a afternoon for 2 that's so big, you can eat from it twice. So we did. We could store it in their fridge and eat in the rest of it the next day. Such a nice service! It can be a bit crowded an you should not be in a hurry, but the girls are realy nice! :)

One of the best cakes I've had in a long time. The service although sometimes slow (but that's purely because it was busy) is friendly and welcoming and their cake was one of the best cakes I've had for a while - beautifully presented and tasted amazing.

Cosy and trendy with an amazing array of various beautifully decorated cakes and other cooked food options. Service seems to be a little slow and the staff get a bit unwelcoming of customers coming in around 30 mins from closing time, losing it a star.

Great service, lovely coffee and proper cup of tea but the cherry on our cake was the quality and taste of the cakes. Its a quirky place to stop a wee while. Def be back.xxx

I love to come here for a mug of tea, A tasty cake and sit and read my book. Staff are friendly and I never feel pressured to order more or leave. It's a very relaxed, friendly environment.

All good food, cake is a must. Service friendly yet slow. Would have been five stars if scone had been accompanied by butter rather than marg.

Nicely "Alice in Wonderland" themed.
The decor is very "Alice in Ikea" but it works.
Very good food and the staff are cool.
Worth a stop for a spot of lunch.... even if you are running late....

Avoid. Took my 2 young daughters for high tea. The crockery was chipped, the tea pot was disgusting and stained, the chair covers were all ripped, the toilet was leaking and had a bucket under it gathering water and the whole place looked like it needed a deep clean.. that was before we even got to the high tea. The tea itself consisted of the same 2 cakes cut up multiple times, both were stale, dry and inedible, the 2 cup-cakes were also well past their best. The look of disappointment on my girls faces was terrible, there was nothing on there they could eat. It was awful. When I complained to the owner, she was very rude and told me that I had to book in advance for the high tea (there was a high tea menu on every table and I had checked the website before going and NOWHERE did it say about booking in advance) she then went on to say that the cakes provided were all she had left over from the weekend! I told her that I wasn't prepared to pay £20 for left over cake, to which she replied, and I quote "well just leave then"!! 2 very upset children, and I was left feeling really angry. Quite disgraceful end to what should have been a lovely experience.

If I had to use one word to describe this place, it's "kitsch" but in a good way. You won't find any place like it. Their coffees and cakes are the reason to visit. I had the Bakewell sponge. Too sweet for my liking but it was fresh and it paired well with my flat white. Most cakes are baked on site but I've noticed some are shop bought. All in all a lovely place to catch up with some friends over deliciously sickly sweet cake and coffee.

Surprising!. An intriguing name for a cafe but, slightly disappointingly, it's not all tarts! The decor hits you first - black walls and ceiling with fun use of vivid pink and friendly copper - a bit like a funky hairdresser's. The tables and chairs are eclectic, a little sticky but comfortable, some stencil-sprayed to add an arty feel. Plenty for the eye to rest on while you wait for your order to finally get to you! Yes, service was a little slow but not awful. The food was good though - not exceptional - just decent amounts of sensible grub and an inviting array of cakes. Good bread and tea leaves for a change. Staff were a little unfocussed but friendly. All in all, we were comfortable, not crowded out or deafened, and definitely not ripped-off with the bill. Shame about the unisex toilet but I like things to be a little off-the-wall and if you do, give it a go. I'll go back sometime.

Great breakfast. Yougart with berries fantastic. Pancakes were large and totally loved by 7 yo. Porridge was very good. Didn't open till 10 so breakfast was a bit late but worth the wait.

The serving counter in this pink heaven is laden with delicious home made cakes. Macarons, cupcakes, sponges and biscuits to tempt you. Sandwiches and soups are also on offer.
