The best chippy in the west end bar none! Possibly even Glasgow, but I'll have to try out a few more to verify that! Nice clean place, very friendly staff, huge thick pieces of fish battered beautifully, and lovely big fat chips. Very reaonably priced, especially when you factor in the big portions. Would recommend this to any chippy lovers :)
Absolutely love this place! you are greeted with a clean and fresh looking chippy with fantastic employees. The food is incredible, the fish is a very high quality and seems very fresh. The fish is battered and fried in front of you and comes out with the perfect balance of moistness and crunch, there are no sizeable stray bits of batter like you always get from other chippys. The chips like the fish are fantastic and always fresh, they are beautiful and crunchy as well as being perfectly thick, a worthy accompaniment to the fish. Not only is the fish great but other menu items such as the sausage are also fantastic and you can always be sure to receive a more than generous portion. In conclusion this Fish and Chip shop is the place to go for those nights when cooking just seems out of the question, you will not be disappointed.
Love this place. In a time when upmarket fish and chip shops seem to dominate, Catch etc, this place blows then out the water on value. The foods great as are the portions. Guy's working there are fantastic as well, always friendly and loaded me up with few freebies as it was the end of the night. Highly recommend the place.
The owner of this branch is a super friendly guy and we ended up chatting for nearly an hour. I'm also of the opinion that this is the best Fish & chips in Glasgow at a reasonably inexpensive price.
Just traveled to Glasgow and needed to try some fish and chips. Great fish and chips. Large portions, Crisp wounderful perfect fish and my granddaughter had the Pakoras ,they were delicious. It's all take out. Left overs were great cold for a late nite snack
Helping a friend move house, soaking wet in the rain and starving, walked up to this shop and found the lights on but when we tried to enter, it was closed. Went to leave and the owner seen us and called us back, opened early for us and cooked us some fantastic fish suppers. Top guy, many thanks.
Forget the rest this "plaice " does a great fish supper,
Haddock and chips is the one
GOOD PORTIONS
Fried to perfection
Dont judge a book by its cover!!!!!!
You will understand when you go there.
Price is good
Enjoy
Used to be great fish and chips but recently as we discovered the quality has gone down. The taste is no longer the way it was. They do have halal fish and chips but please ask for it.
Fish made fresh to order, has the best haggis for a fish'n'chip shop in Glasgow and the chips are pretty decent too, can't really fault the place of than its aesthetic
Excellent chippy.. good taste and decent portion... however the last time the fish was small but will see how it goes next time... please keep a good quality.
Great fish and chips, only ever usually a ten minute wait while the fish is cooked fresh. Delicious.
Quite new place.
No real wait. Sausage supper and fish supper are good. Very convenient if you live in the area.
