Been in here few times before and it was pish.no music...no atmosphere....plenty overpriced drinks......if im paying 5.50 for a pint i want a lap dance to go with it....anyway...much better now thers a dj and big tv screen.....bar staff are great.p.s.gents toilet is tiny...was crossing swords at the urinal.
Came here for lunch on a sunny day so sat out on the lovely terrace. Service was quick and friendly. The food - a salad and a pasta dish - also arrived promptly and tasted great. Cocktails were a little slow to arrive as they came from the bar downstairs but that was ok. Plan to visit for dinner sometime.
Had wonderful meal for 2 last night at citation , very romantic setting , beautiful restaurant , excellent staff , French cuisine at it's best , the pork loin was like fillet steak quality and the cod main was the best I have had ever !

Excellent - would go back. Nice place - very busy in the wine bar area downstairs but we had booked a table upstairs in the restaurant. Didn't seem like my sort of place at first but once the food came, I totally changed my mind. It was a cold night and my starter of French Onion soup was magnificent and warmed me up considerably. It came with a large gruyere crouton floating amongst the thick, brown, oniony, delicious broth. It was a huge bowl with more bread on the side and it was just what the doctor ordered! Mr bunglingidiots starter of lovely Fresh Daily breads with with olive oil & balsamic also came with some kind of pesto dip. Lovely. No complaints there.
They have a great menu with plenty to choose from and I opted for a main course portion of mussels in a tomato, coconut and coriander broth at £11.95 and I ordered a side of hand cut chunky chips. (Which I needn't have!) The portion of mussels was massive and it came with yet more bread. The tasty broth was a winner for me and the fat chips came with a dish of home made tartare sauce that was bursting with flavour. The metal pot the mussels were served kept everything super hot and although I tried my best, I just couldn't finish it all. My husband's beer battered haddock (£10.50) came with the same hand cut chips and tartare sauce, (he asked them to leave off the mushy peas!) and again, the portion size was on the large side.
We couldn't manage a dessert but left feeling warm, full and happy. Service was really excellent - a minor blip of an extra few items from another table's order added on our bill was the only thing that slightly detracted from a great meal.
Great Ambiance, Good Food. In my last night of a week long stay, I was able to make it to Citation.
I got there early and was able to take advantage of the "Early Doors Menu". I had the soup of the day (cauliflower), Pan seared salmon, and toffee and date pudding. The 3 course early doors menu normally costs £13, but the salmon was an extra £2. I still think the overall value was quite good.
The food itself was very tasty. I especially liked the salmon.
The staff were very quick and professional. The ambiance was great, clean, open and with very nice lighting. I would definitely come back.

Truly superb meal was enjoyed at Citation, Glasgow. The food was presently beautifully and the taste was of an even higher standard. I received first class, attentive service from the staff who were more than happy to make alternations to my chosen dishes to ensure they met my dietary requirements as a coeliac.
We just got married at Citation in August 2023 and had the best day! The staff on the day were amazing and very attentive. A big shout out to Casey for running things so well on the day.
Also, a big thank you to Pauline for organising the day and thinking of all the little things before we even realised we needed them!
We can't recommend Citation enough. If you are thinking of getting married in Glasgow then you should definitely consider this venue.

We absolutely loved holding our wedding reception at Citation...we just have one specific suggestion for others planning their event.
Citation is a stunning venue, inside and out. But what truly set our experience above and beyond, were the employees and their careful attention to detail. Pauline was fabulous to work with, and each person there the night of our reception took time to make guests feel welcome.
We did upgrade our package, at the suggestion of Citation's staff, to one bottle of wine per person at dinner (or the equivalent of beer). We were certain we wouldn't need that much, and we were guaranteed that whatever we didn't use would count towards our bar tab.
As it turns out, Citation does not keep track of the amount of wine/beer consumed at dinner. We were told it probably amounted to what we paid for, so we did not receive any kind of bar credit. However, we are nearly positive we did not go through 112 bottles of wine at dinner (or the equivalent of beers.). We know several guests weren't drinking at all.
We would still recommend anyone book Citation for their event! However, do not upgrade your alcohol package...or if you do, ask that they keep track of the amount your guests consume.
We really did love our experience at Citation, and know that other couples planning their special day will be happy if they book this venue!

Louize was fantastic all the way from our planning stages, until our wedding day! She made us feel comfortable, relaxed and that was nothing was ever a problem. Louize is true professional at her job no stone was left unturned, she is on-it!!!!
All our guest were raving about the food, so a massive thank you to the chef for providing everyone with a mouth watering amazing meal!! The staff were all pleasant & friendly with speedy service at the bar. I would definitely book another event here. Our customer journey was exceptional.
Came here on a Sunday at midday. The place is big and beautiful. I had no problem to sit down and I didn't even have to wait. Ordered pork belli and it was Fantastic. The mustardy mash potato was delicious and the meet very tender and tasty. Desert and coffee were good as well. The service was fast and nice. I'll come back.
Excellent, luxurious and elegant wine bar / restaurant / bistro in merchant city Glasgow. Impressive architectural exterior and plush, pleasing interior are the exemplary features of this fine bar, the service was a little slow but pleasantly mannered and the drinks surprisingly for such an amazing place relatively inexpensive
Bought an Itison deal (2 courses and a bottle of vino for £25) for this restaurant and man was it worth every penny!!! On a Sunday afternoon the vibe was cool, the starters were good and the main courses were the best I've tasted in a long while. The beef was cooked to perfection and the roast potatoes were simply perfect. The only reason I've given 4 stars is because the size of portions were quite small as I could have eaten everything twice, but I'll take quality over quantity every time.......

A really nice atmosphere, plenty of space to move about in, music wasn't too loud and didn't drown out conversation & drink prices weren't expensive at all .. £22 for 5 alcoholic drinks.
They also provide table service which means you don't have to stand & wait at the bar for drinks.
I was here for my nephew's wedding and was absolutely fantastic. Very nice atmosphere and decor is first class. Made to feel very welcome, and staff were helpful and friendly. The full day was done to a very high standard, from service to the food (which was exceptional). I would recommend this venue to anybody. Hope to be back soon at some point in the future.

A beautiful wedding venue. Excellent customer service from the minute you enter the door. The flowers which adorn the area were exquisite and the evening buffet was well set out, healthy and delicious.
Recently attended this venue for a celebration of life and easily the best customer service I’ve received and witnessed. Thanks to their staff and special thanks to KAI who was brilliant interacting with the kids and always smiling whilst getting orders done.
