A cute American themed diner tucked away in Nelson Mandela Place, this place is a nice wee find for having lunch. The servers were polite and food was quick to be served. It wasn't too busy when we went and the decor was certainly cool and interesting! I had chicken and waffles which were easily the best tasting ones I've ever had: unfortunately they were luke warm hence the removal of a star. My husband had a tray of buffalo coated wings which he very nearly finished! Overall a nice wee place for a chilled out lunch.

First visit in this American restaurant and i had a good impression! The decor is reminiscent of old Nashville and everything is nice and clean. I got the vegan fried chicken burger, a buffalo chicken mac and a side of garlic fries. The portions were generous; the burgher was really nice while the second main (buffalo chicken mac) was quite spicy for my personal taste (I think they should write the spice level on the menu). The chocolate cake it’s simply tasty! It would be a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but the difference was made by the server Colin who was really friendly, attentive and fast! 👏

We’ve visited here twice in a week, so that’s a good sign. Food is nice, obviously cooked fresh and the portion sizes are decent. The waffles are fluffy and light, perfectly done. The chicken is pretty decent and the mac cheese is super tasty (I tried the classic and the loaded - recommend both). There’s an extensive drinks menu, which is all reasonably priced. I like that they cater to non-drinkers too. Staff were friendly and attentive - no issues there. 4 stars because I saw a waitress drop a knife on the floor...and then put it back in the drawer - eek. Re-visit in Jan 2020: The food is still decent - have been a couple of times since my first review and the mac cheese is still pretty good. On a busy the Saturday night, the fries were soggy and underdone but the rest of our meals were good. The chicken tenders are always a good option. Service was relatively slow for a Saturday night but not so much so that it detracts from the overall experience. £164 for 5 of us to have a couple of options from the menu plus 2-3 cocktails/pints - not bad!

Popped into this place for a spot of lunch whilst in the city. We were greeted by a very friendly guy who welcomed us in and talked us through the menu and what was available. The food was great and they had a huge selection of sources to choose from to go with your food. We had the chicken tenders with sweet potato fries and onion rings. They offer vegan foods here also

Quirky place with cool crazy decor. Like 90% on the menu is chicken. The first time i went I had a waffle slider with chicken, blue cheese and bacon, I really liked it but it doesn't seem to be on the menu anymore. On my 2nd visit I had a pizzaiolo mac and cheese, the toppings were very tasty. Sweet potato fries and onion rings are super delicious!

Booked in for lunch on Thu 28th Apr, Service was bang on with polite helpful staff. The food was excellent and well presented , the chef is on point at this place, two lads had a few beers and a great scoff all at a very reasonable price . Defo will be returning to this great wee hide-out 👍👏👏👏

Takeout - Ask for Napkins. Well packed for travel. Tasty fried chicken sandwich. Delicious desert. Would have been a 5 star except no napkins meant I made a mess of myself eating it.

Cool, dark and funky place in the centre of Glasgow serving fried chicken and cocktails. Lots of neon lights give the place a nice vibe. Went for the fried Buffalo burger which had plenty of hot sauce on and the loaded fries. The fries came with guacamole, jalapeños and pieces of grilled chicken. The food was a little bland.

Absurd Bird was a fantastic experience after a long day in the sun. They have a really chilled out country vibe with clean and simple american style decor. The food was delicious and well presented with very generous portions. I was almost defeated by this cheesy chicken waffle meal! Would be very keen to go back and try some more dishes on the menu in this tucked away gem!

The staff was nice and helpful. The food was tasty. If you like classic American with a twist, this is a great place to go! It's a little odd and crazy, but in all the good ways. The decor is very cool as well, and it really adds to the atmosphere and cosiness of the dining experience.

We spent a very pleasant few hours in the AB one Sunday afternoon during this year’s C2C Festival. We started with some excellent cocktails and progressed from there! Live music fuelled both our thirst and our appetites and we moved onto the American orientated menu. Food was tasty and fulsome and precisely what we anticipated; uncomplicated and delicious. Staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. We’ll most certainly be back!

Plays some great music! The chicken tenders and buffalo sauce with a side of fries would fill anyone up. Wish we could just get a waffle as a side dish.

The decor inside is simply lit up, good music and the seating was comfy! They have waffle sliders which are delicious and their chicken/buffalo tenders are the tasty kind of spicy to go with the sauces they offer. I would definitely recommend the waffle sliders!
