Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. All 6 courses were very tasty, and we thought the wine tasting was fab. Took around 2 hours but did not feel like that at all!
Visited here as a treat as it is a bit pricier than some of the local restaurants, but I've wanted to go for a while, and honestly it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is small and usually fully booked, so getting a walk in is unlikely. The staff are attentive and polite without being overbearing. The Thai fusion menu was the theme when we went, the food portions are small, but it is a tasting menu, you are there for the experience, not to get stuffed full. I thought the food was delicious and creative with lots of different elements making up each dish. Being a bit of a fussy/limited eater I wanted to try foods I wouldn't normally eat, and the pumpkin spring roll gave me a whole new appreciation I didn't know was possible for pumpkin. I normally don't eat fish either, but the pan seared bass has completely changed my mind. If you want something a bit different to treat yourself, with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, then definitely try this place.
Incredible menu and a fantastic experience. Thoroughly enjoyed each course and the wine pairing was outstanding.
Can't fault it for food and value for money is second to none. Highly recommend if you love food. Just check what menu is available as changes on a regular basis.
Had a lovely dinner at SBN recently. This one was the Tokyo menu, which I was initially unsure of. But it was lovely.
Staff take care of you very well.
Apretif cocktail was delicious.
Very tidy, good decor.
Would recommend.
Great experience!
I came here with my family and had a great time. The service was fantastic, the vibe was very happy and excited and the food was good.
The dishes were very creative, interesting to look at tasty.
We all had the matching wines which paired very well. There was a matching cocktail for your first drink which was a nice change as well.
Tasting menu, matching wines, 4x extra cocktail and 2x extra snack course was around £360 for 4 of us.
Had a great time with my family but don't have any intentions coming back for a while, not sure why, just left a little underwhelmed by the flavours.
We had the Tokyo menu - sadly this time they didnt publish a vegan menu and I was a little worried we would be an afterthought (only from past experiences elsewhere) but this was totally not the case and we had a lovely time, the food was beautifully presented, every course delicious and really reasonably priced for what we got. The staff were very kind, accommodating and attentive and the atmosphere was very chilled. I hope we get a local branch soon so we can try every menu! If any other big eaters are wondering like us if we would be full afterwards - you will be! Spacing out smaller courses really helped us savour rather than snort the food 🤣
Fantastic service and excellent food.
The wine pairing was great, and it was really good value for the number of glasses you get.
The courses come out at a steady pace
...not too fast, not too slow. Very popular restaurant, so you will have to book quite far in advance to get a table.
First time visiting Six by Nico. Thai fusion was our menu. My only reason for giving the restaurant 4 out of 5, we weren't told you could pick and choose between the Vegan/Main menu.
Had I known I would have changed the fish courses. In fairness, you are asked about allergies but it's not an allergy it is just a choice for myself.
However, staff are friendly, helpful and polite. The food tasted great. I personally feel the price point is just right. 6 courses felt just right. Large choice of wine and other drinks and fairly priced.
Overall I would recommend it.
One of Glasgow’s finest in customer service, atmosphere and unpretentiously amazing food. Greeted with a warm welcome and a little joke, we were already on the road for a lovely experience. When our order was being taken and a hint of this being our daughter’s graduation celebration, we were presented with a glass of Prosecco as a complimentary welcome. From then on, the brilliance just took off. The servers are a jolly bunch of well educated and cheerful young persons. The food just kept getting better. The only problem was that we had to call it a night - we had a truly remarkable evening. Well done you all !!!
First time going, the place was smaller than expected but cosy and intimate.
Chippy menu was divine. Parmesan and chips and curry, and the steak pie were a stand out.
Pleasantly surprised with the seaside aperitif too!
Could have had a tub of the irn bru sorbet to myself - sososo good!
Absolutely brilliant with dealing with my dietary requirements. I'm gluten free and allergic to peppers and even though there was an entire dish based around peppers, the chefs did a great job in not making me feel left out. The music was at just the right level so you didn't have to shout across the table but you weren't getting eavesdropped either. The service was pretty fast pace and though I didn't feel rushed, I did feel slightly timed. They do disclaim that they are very popular and busy so need people to come somewhat in and out but as soon as we finished the last course, the bill was basically immediately handed to us. You have to book quite far in advance due to the popularity of this place but honestly it is completely obvious why this place is such a fan favourite.
1st at Six by Nico and won't be our last. We went for the chippy menu and it was outstanding. Food cooked to perfection and each course explained by the lovely friendly servers. I was asked what my best course was and I honestly could not pick it was amazing.
Creative and really delicious tasting menu. Our menu was called Chippie, we enjoyed a lot. I recommend it. 👌
Six by Nico never disappoints. We got the set 6-course Greek menu. Everything was great, although the order the dishes came could be different. Moussaka and seabass were amazing!! Limited space but the atmosphere is lovely. Looking forward to see what the menu will be next month!
Amazing! We have wanted to try dining at Six since they opened in London last year, but unfortunately Covid delayed that... We happened to get a last minute booking while visiting in Glasgow and so glad we did!
The entire experience was on point; the restaurant is beautiful, the staff friendly and experienced, and the food was incredible! We really love the concept of being able to watch the chef's plate up, the menu changing every six weeks and having such cute themes as 'Guilty Pleasures' which we enjoyed. The best thing is the price, for the experience and quality you receive, it really is a great deal!
