We booked for dinner. We were seated promptly. Service was swift and efficient. Staff all very nice. We had a sharing platter with a bottle of Prosecco

Followed with a main meal. Food was good sized portion and good quality. Good atmosphere we will go back.

House of Herby. I took one look at Darcy's and knew it was for me. It bore a charming resemblance to Made In Belfast - mismatched chairs, newspaper wall paper, flowers, odd bits and props around the restaurant. Shabby chic and totally darling.

They have pre-theatre meal deals as well as an a la carte menu - they present you with your pegged bundle and leave you to agonise. We decided to hit up the cocktails - an easy decision - while we decided on food. We ordered a Classic Mojito, Mango Mojito and a Passion Fruit & Watermelon Caipirissima. Lovely.

We settled on a couple of main courses as we weren't really wanting to be too full. The food is really nice here - simple but lovely grub! I liked that they have different dishes across several menu options - there is something for everyone.

Battered Fish & Chips - You know, sometimes there is nothing better than a plate of fish and chips! This was gorgeous - flaky fish in a gorgeous crispy batter. Served with real man's chips - chunky, skins on and deep fried until crispy outside but fluffy inside. It was served with lemon, a pickle and tartare sauce. I have to say: I'd have killed for some peas!

Coconut, Ginger & Chilli Curry with Chicken - The sauce for this curry looks deceptively milky. Away first I thought it looked like it'd be sweet and a bit sickly, but it doesn't at all. It is creamy and has a lovely coconut taste but the ginger, garlic and chilli take hold and it has a warm kick to it. Beautiful.

Penne Carbonara - This is such a simple, classic pasta. Darcy's get it totally right - they're one of the few places that add mushrooms. I love mushrooms in my carbonara! Their bacon was really smokey added a lovely deep flavour to the sauce. The pasta was properly al dente and had a lovely bite. Delicious.

Darcy's is my new light dinner & cocktail favourite. I want to go there in advance of all concerts and nights out now! It's my kinda brasserie.

Nice with perfect setting. Pretty decent menu and what was served up I liked. Good pricing, but as the title says the setting tops it off for me. Princess Square is a bit of a gem and a poor restuarant in here doesn't deserve to be. Has to be tried during the lead up to Christmas.

Service was excellent, prompt & attententive while the food also met with our approval (two clean plates). Our overall bill was just over £40 for 2 mains, 2 drinks & a side. Would happily go back again.

Decided to eat here on a whim. The food was delicious (ordered the filled sea bass) and the live music set the mood. I’m from NYC which means I have a high expectation when it comes to food, so don’t take my 5 stars for granted.

Fantastic experience here tonight. Ate off their evening menu which apparently had some new taster dishes from their new menu- if this is the case, I will definitely be back. Had a fantastic glass of malbec, but thinking we might try some of the new cocktails on our return. Was served by an older woman (maybe the manager) who was welcoming and served us promptly.

cam here for nice meal with parents and children. kids love garden furniture in princess square area and my parents enjoy the restaurant with its nice decorations and good atmosphere. me and my wife enjoyed nice fish and chips with peas, which were very big and nice value. maybe menu could have more choice as all food were a little same but still enjoyed food.

I visited today at lunchtime, I was served by the male manager on duty who smiled from the moment he sat us down till the moment we left. He was the most helpful chap and nothing was an issue, he interacted with our little child who just found him hilarious. Welcomed and said goodbye to us a lovely touch. Made our first time visit so enjoyable, food was amazing and this guy deserved the tip we left. We will definitely return and will spread the word of how awesome this place is!! Pity I can only give him 5 stars he deserves more. Thank you darcys. Just wish I new his name I would of mentioned in my review.

We booked a table for 4pm and arrived at 3:20 and they were so accommodating. Service was superb and fast considering how busy it was. The staff were so lovely and friendly and everything was very hygienic. Will be back again soon.

Always, always busy which is a good sign. Menu is a bit limited for vegetarians but I've never had a bad meal in here. Toilets were clean but decidedly shabby looking.

Staff patient, friendly and very helpful. Visited for breakfast today. Very enjoyable. Reasonably priced. Princess Square has other eating establishments but Darcy's served what we were looking for. Some lovely unusual shops.

Nice offering in a botqiue setting in the city center. An ok food menu accompanied with a great gin selection. Food was very well presented and great tasting but wasnt a lot exciting to chose from on the main menu if I am completely honest. We opted for some great looking specials which were suggested to us. Lovely local gins avaialble and finished with a cheeseboard, double espresso and a malbec. Service was attentive but not in your face. Would revisit again, more of those specials please. ps... maybe add a brockmans to the gin list and ill be there more often!

What a beautiful venue and beautiful people who work here. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here this past weekend on our holidays. We really struggled finding somewhere we liked to eat and Darcys just hit the spot. Our waitress recommended some sites to see while we are here and they were fantastastic. Just wish they had a place like this back in Surrey! Best Regards Pete
