We had bought vouchers from groupon for 4 cocktails for 2 for Bread Butter on our recent girls night out.i had never been to this bar before, it was a great wee find. It was a busy Saturday night but we got a table and the table service is a good idea, we all ordered our cocktails and nibbles, the Pina Coladas are to die for... all the cocktails the group ordered were lovely. Friendly attentive staff, nice atmosphere, good tunes. Good night all round

Fantastic menu of cocktails and varying promotions of its prices everyday, good to know a place that still does cheap cocktails, even on fridays, great mabience and fantasstic playlist of music! Would defo go again
Tucked Away. Doon the same lane as the famous chippy is this canteen cum bar serving good honest comfort food at a bargain price. I like a pie and plumped for the steak and gravy which was freshly made and delightful. This plus a quality beer was only £6. It's not posh by any means but has an edgy chic appeal. Anyway, there is plenty of space to relax and it was busy with the local workers and shoppers enjoying lunch. Well worth a try.
True budget stuff. Cheap drink - apart form the stupid increase at weekends, WHY!!?! WHYYYYY?? it just makes me go else where!
cheap food, served by dinner-lady, just what you want!
lovely staff
clean toilets
comfortable seating
however, smoking area tends to leak, and on busy times it can be a little uncomfortable for us non-smokers.
£5 for pub food, a soft drink and a side salad. Nothing spectacular but filling and cheap.
Pie & Mash. I met a friend in Bread and Butter on Saturday for a catch up and to watch the footy. It was quite early when we arrived but it quickly filled up over lunchtime. All of a sudden we realised that almost everybody was eating pie and mash! It was weird...anyway turns out this is a specialty of the place and people cant get enough of it. We thought it would be rude not to try it and I can tell you it was really nice and only £5!! I would go back just for the Pie and Mash alone. It was that good!!
Great place if you want a quick bite to eat in town centre.staff were very friendly. Food was homemade and tasty for £5 good value for money
I like what they've done with the place which used to be Bread and Butter and was quite run down. Now it's lively and nice, with high tables and stools, other lower tables, big bar, some tables outside too. Good cocktails! They have a wide range of beers and some cocktails on tap for only 7.50 which is great, including an Espresso Martini, very tasty. Live music on a Friday night was a bit too loud for us.
It was an alright bar, I liked that it was hidden away and not on one of the main streets. The staff were nice and service didn't take too long even when the place was full. The singer who was playing was very good but a little too loud and it was difficult to hear people speak. The bar had a wide selection of drinks but after having 3 of the same they ran out of what I was drink, I would expect them to have a larger storage of the drinks so they didn't run out. One down side was I could only book the table for 2 hours so by the time I was just getting comfy, I was asked to leave to make space for the next party. I would go back.
Great venue, lots of drinks to choose from. Highly recommend as a good place to start your night out in Glasgow. I would advise you to book in advance as it does get busy.
Class venue, unfortunately for me an 18 yr old spice boy student decided to get wide and keep pushing me while I was dancing to Smash Mouth - All Star, had to dish a quick 2 2 jab to the spice boys face, was quickly ushered out after that. Sad to leave on those terms, but could not allow some giro perm spice boy to dish out any more disrespect. In essence, if you dance anywhere near a student with a perm’s bird better than they can dance, you will need to initiate a spice boy bashing side quest.
Excellent little hidden gem. We stumbled across it one even while out a wander!
Only had drinks but the food looked nice. Great atmosphere nice and chillaxed place. Highly recommended.
We will be back!
Cool little German bar hidden away in Glasgow City centre. It's located off Buchanan Street down one of the alleyways. Its at the back of the Ted Baker store. Venue is really funky and modern with a cool outside area with seats. They serve all sorts of draught and bottles of beer along with cocktails and food. Great little spot to have a drink through the day or night.
Very nice place to go! It was very busy but the bar staff were really good. Will definitely come back. Can't review the food as we didn't have any.
Packed bar right next to Buchanan. We enjoyed a nice live event with my group. Significantly better than its neighbour, in my opinion. The drinks were 99% juice, as expected. Mostly people aged 20-35.
This bar is lovely with a good selection of beer. Nice outdoor area for smoking. What let it down was the carpet as you come in the front door ...it is disgusting and in desperate need of replacing.
