I love the movie "trainspotting" I always wished visit this cafe someday. The staff was closing the store when I visited. but They agreed to take pictures and even served me delicious strawberry shakes. I could stay Glasgow just only one day, so this thoughtfulness was very helpful. Thank you for their kindness! 😊 strawberry shake was very delicious! and restaurant has nice atmosphere! I'd love to go here again! next time, I look forward to eating the food!πŸ˜‹

This cafe is a Glaswegian staple, reputation preceeding the place, I took my partner here for lunch before attending to some personal errands and not only was it an extremely welcoming place but the food felt nostalgiac and comforting. The people manning the store were tremendous, and the vibe of old Glasgow is just immaculate. Would recommend undoubtedly.

Have eaten in here many times and always has been absolutely delicious. It is part of the community for 99 years says it all. Staff always friendly and attentive. It is always busy.

Been going to this cafe since I was a very young boy, say just over 60 years. Grandparents to us and it has always been a great family place. Now take my grandwains. Hope the tradition stays as it is a bit of a time capsule

You would be wrong to go to a place like Jaconelli's expecting top quality food, but you would be right if you went expecting good value for money and a trip back in time for a glimpse of the Glasgow of old. The chips are of the old-fashioned but tasty 'as granny used to make' variety, if you can get over them being cooked in a fryer with chicken burgers. The macaroni cheese is also very tasty, and I hear they also do a mean breakfast. The staff are down to earth and great with customers. The ice cream, however, is the clear star of the show in my humble opinion. If you don't like sharing a table with another group, then this is probably not the place for you – but if you want authenticity and a trip down memory lane, this is the place to go.

Had the best big breakfast ever, went down a treat. Great atmosphere and the customer service was second to none. Very reasonably priced too. I didn't have any room to fit in a knickerbocker glory but I will do next time. If you've never been, you gotta try this wee gem of a place

A Maryhill classic. A traditional cafe with bags of character and friendly people. Great place for breakfast, ice cream or sweets. The decor is classic and there is a jukebox. If you are anywhere near Maryhill it a must visit. Great place.
