I was recently in Glasgow on holiday and visited mcsorlays, I was alone in the bar area when a gentleman approached me and made me feel rather uncomfortable. One of you bartenders mark noticing I was not happy with the situation came over and discreetly asked me to come and look at the beer selection thus avoiding an awkward situation which let me enjoy the rest of my night. Gold star for the barman and also the drink selection is phenomenal needless to say I travel to Glasgow twice a year and will certainly be visiting the bar again and will be recommending to friends and family in future.
Popped in for lunch. £5 menu for lunch was great, sampled the soup (ham and split food pea) and the salad (cous cous). Both generous serves and had great flavour. Lunch Includes a soft drink. Sampled some whisky after, good selection. Red Hot Chilli Peppers tunes cranking on the speakers throughout lunch. Wifi not working...
Quite some place, not to be missed. Fairly small bar with some gallery seats above the bar. Decent range of beer. Live music is the draw, most weekends. Details on website and blackboard.
I liked it here. came in at 11.30 had some beers before they served food. the guy behind the bar even reminded me that they now serve food. every member if staff was really friendly and helpful. I liked the haggis very much and they recommend it with peper sauce which was also very good 😊👍🏻 can only recommend!
First day in Scotland after 24 hours flight, first pint and first meal, couldn’t have done better with exceptionally warm service, really tasting local food at good value and great decor- the beers and ciders on tap aren’t really stretching but you will find all major types. Cheers
What a place!! The live bands were incredible, out of all the places we went in Glasgow this had the best vibe for us. You could chat, dance and really enjoy yourself despite it being a busy crowded Saturday. Can't wait to return!
I thoroughly enjoyed the Haggis, Neeps, and tatties paired with an IPA. The food was delicious, great selection of beer and the service was excellent. The live music added a vibrant energy to the already charming ambience. A fantastic experience overall!
The food here was absolutely amazing and great value for money. It was just a weekday lunchtime so it wasn't busy- service was quick, the food was piping hot and so tasty. Real homemade food - I had haggis, neeps and tatties and the whisky sauce was incredible. My friend had the homemade pie and it looked so good.... fabulous pastry. Would definitely recommend
Great pub with kind people. The band we saw was very good.
The best pub in Glasgow for live music and atmosphere. I'm from London and every time I stop off in visit Glasgow on my way to fort william I have to go in their for a pint.
Awesome place. Super friendly staff and great atmosphere. Food was delicious ( we went for the Friday special - great value for the price!). Also recommending to try the Malt of the Moment ( Whiskey for £2.95) - very good choice. Live music rounded the evening up - we had a great time!
Absolutely loved this pub, the true spirit of Glasgow. Brilliant service, awesome atmosphere and a fantastic whiskey selection 🤘🏼❤️
