Anarkali serves the tastiest Indian food I've ever eaten (my previous favourite was Khans in Blackheath, London). The service is excellent and you get good value for your money. Bring your own bottle.
Love it here. Great banter from the staff, relaxed atmosphere, tasty grub and BYOB with a no corkage bonus. Good sized portions as well. Highlight for me was the cauliflower pakora, you don't get that in many places
Don't order from their arrogant and quite frankly rude and cheeky telephone staff on a Saturday as they won't tell you that it'll be two hours for your food! (Shame from what could be a great Indian!)
Quite simply the best Indian I'vw ever had. Incredible value for money, fantastically tasty tikka and good service. I was expecting a restaurant - please note it's more of a takeaway with seats than a proper restaurant, but e were allowed to bring our own alcohol a it wasn't licensed and had a great night! It won't be long before I'm back for their tikka sizzler. Well worth the travel - 5*!
Chicken madras is the damage!! Use to think that kebab mahal in Edinburgh was the best Indian about but I have since changed my mind after going to this place twice, Awesome!! Highly recommend it if u fancy a curry!!!
Wow is all I can say, this was our first time visit with our friends who have been coming here for years. Alright the decor is not boutique "who cares", the food was brilliant and the staff very attentive and reasonably priced. Mrs Fish said its the best Indian meal she's had. You need to bring a bottle as they are not licensed but they provide glasses and soft drinks. You'll love it.
Fantastic standby for a wide menu of expertly prepared Indian classics. BYOB, so very popular, but our meals in are constantly disturbed by other diners going out for a smoke. For that reason the take away menu is even better value.
Havent been for a while. But great curry & byob mean it is a busy destination!
8 of us went in after a pool competition. Everyone's food was extremely tasty and portion size was very generous. Allowed to bring your own bottle. Will definitely be back soon. 10 out of 10.
Terrific Indian food! The service is super - its a lovely place to have dinner. We loved it so much we returned for a second time(we’re visiting Glasgow from Australia) Nice to be able to take our own wine.
Always go here for take away curry its the best, fod is always great as well as service apart from last night when I never got an item and phoned, said it would be delivered to my home but it didnt but would still go back.
I've just ate probably the best lamb madras I've ever had , I kid u not a proper curry from here , what a great curry and I know the score
Carry out just delivered excellent as always ..hot fresh delicious!! Love Anarkali !...been fantastic for years !!
Delicious food and very generous portions. Could do with a little less of the food colouring though - it certainly wouldn't take anything away from the flavours.
Had dinner last night pakora, chicken wings, paneer pakora, chicken Tikka main courses and lamb main course super food amazing place great taste to the food made proper Indian style fresh ingredients service fantastic, really well looked after no hesitation going there again. Table of 9
Food is fantastic very friendly staff the only thing was on Monday there I called in for a takeaway I ordered chicken tikka tandoori it says on the menu it comes with salad and the lady serving me said do you want salad I said yes she said its an extra £1.50 I said no if that's the case the menu has to be changed to say no salad.
Very tasty set meal for 2 for a reasonable price to take out , ordering on their website and collecting was easy. The veggie pakora is the best in Glasgow and over the years the taste of these pakora has stayed the same and they come in a massive bag...
Amazingly tasty fresh currys and the Naans are super special. Lightning is a bit bright but it still has a traditional Indian Restaurant atmosphere which I love.
This is by far the best take away food I've tried in years. I have never sat in for a meal but going by the take away it must be very good. I found it reasonably priced and the food authentic.
If you are looking for genuine Indian food this is the place for you.
Best hidden place in town. Authentic is really authentic. A saucer full of secrets..
A lovely takeaway, was a shame that the boxes of food spilled in the bag, as it was so delicious we didn't want to waste any! So better packing boxes be a way forward? We ordered Pakoras & the portion size was massive! Overall a lovely meal would definitely sit in next time rather than a takeaway!
Received a delivery of tandoori chicken and pakora, the chicken was absolutely perfect and not at all dry as many I've had before from other establishments. The sauce was especially good and spicy without being too much so. The chips were perfect and the chapati was also fantastic! Definitely will be ordering again!
