Loved this place. Had a chieftain IPA. Fantastic. Ambience and the decor was excellent. Would definitely recommend the fish and chips here. There was live music as well.

A great, quirky, multi-roomed pub with live music, little alcoves, and a friendly atmosphere. They're a small chain but each are individual and unique. They do a reasonably priced Guinness too, which is always helpful, at five pounds a pint. If they did food, they'd be even more popular than they are. Highly recommended.

Good atmosphere and great location, there was a band playing and rugby world cup England v South Africa on the TVs. I had a chicken pie and it was hot, well portioned and fresh but too salty imo. My girlfriend had the all day breakfast and also felt it was a wee bit salty too. We expected a few more options on the menu from other reviews like haggis neeps & tatties and Irish stew but they weren't available. Otherwise food arrived quickly and was reasonably priced.

One of the most amazing pubs I’ve ever been to. It’s like you’ve walked into Lord of the Rings in Ireland. Bizarre but beautiful! Please go if your in Glasgow, there are so many dimensions to this place, it would fit most people! Has a whole other vibe when your 5 pints deep! 😂

A place not to be missed if you are visiting Glasgow. It is an unusual pub. It is quite large and gets very crowded, but it has a lot of nooks and crannies at different levels to give it a cosy feel. Live music, Great atmosphere.

The bar is one that you need to checkout. Walk down to all levels to appreciate the vastness of the place. It is an experience.

There aren’t many bars as impressive in design as this in Glasgow. If you are looking to show foreign visitors the city or find somewhere with some privacy it’s a great venue. Old wood, stone and brass and a traditional Scottish feel. Has the authentic ye olde world vibe. On the downside it can also feel a little closed in and warren like as it has so many rooms and stairs.

Our server at the Mackintosh at Willow Tree tea room recommended Waxy O'Connor's Glasgow as a fun pub in the area and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Its amazingly eclectic interior was a bit confusing at first but once we got our bearings, it made for a unique experience -- in an Irish pub in a Scottish city listening to a musician play American music (along with some good Celtic pub songs)! Ordering food at one of the bars was a bit of a surprise but it worked out even though our table didn't seem to have a number for the order. We later came to understand that's not an uncommon service model in Scottish pubs; table service is rare.

We did not have food so can't comment on that, just coffees and soft drinks and a great chat in the Cottage area. My friends all really enjoyed our meet up and everyone found the staff very helpful and friendly. We have been meeting in Waxy's for many years and hopefully for many years to come. Many thanks to all at Waxy O'Connor's. Alice Foley.

Awesome pub! The fish and chips … way to oily for my taste but the pie was the best meal that i had in Glasgow.

The best pub I've ever been 🙂. The amazing decor gives this place an unforgettable atmosphere. Wooden elements give the place warmth and charm. Great selection of beers, good food. Many levels of the premises mean that everyone will find a place for themselves 🍻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍
