Had such a good time at a cocktail masterclass . Our mixer was Thomas and his knowledge and patience was superb. He was able to control eleven tipsy women and teach us all how to make three great cocktails. We had the use of a private bar that gave us privacy to enjoy ourselves and not disturb the other patrons. We didn't eat but the place was busy with diners and the food looked good.

We had the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls, Nasi Goreng with Chicken Skewers and General Tso's Chicken. Washed with beer, because it was tasty and spicy, as it should be. Friendly staff, good atmosphere, definitely a place to repeat in other visits.
Visited this place along with friends. We were five of us and ordered 6 different main dishes and all were good. I ordered the Thai Mixed Vegetable and Tofu Curry. Very flavourful food, good portion size and very good service. The ambience of Merchant city adds to the charm. Great work guys keep it going !!!
It had been a while since I’d been to Soba, and my last experience here hadn’t been amazing.
However, I loved this visit. The food was tasty, the service was attentive, the atmosphere is good. The outdoor table meant the food got cold quite quickly…but also, we could have chosen to sit inside so that’s not on Soba!
It can be quite pricey for the amount of food, but I don’t mind when it’s decent.
Great lunch deal for £7 with soft drink included. The satay bao bun was amazing, the chicken was so tender and really lovely peanut butter flavour.

I recently visited and tasted the Red Thai Curry with tofu, and let me tell you, the taste was absolutely amazing! From the moment I took my first bite, I was blown away by the explosion of flavors that danced on my palate.

We had a group boozy brunch. The deal is great especially with the 4 cocktails included in the price. The food was lovely and good portion size. Only issue was the service was a tad patchy and took a bit of time but the staff were courteous and lovely and when its cocktails service always takes a tad longer. It just felt like the bar could have had more staff to assist with table service as well as the bar .
Recently visited Bar Soba with a group of work friends following a team building afternoon. The menu looked great which was welcomed given a number of people in party are VERY fussy eaters and particular about where they go.
The food was stunning, freshly made and they tailored some dishes to our likes. Eg, no chilli, no prawns, etc etc.
We loved it so much, 2 of us returned the following evening to eat again. Which was just as nice.
I highly recommend the Singapore Noodles and Chicken Goyoza
Absolutely delicious Bao Buns. Available on the fantastic lunch menu which includes a soft drink for only £7! Unbeatable value!
Food was excellent particularly the tofu katsu curry, could go it again right now in fact. French fries far too salty. Reasonable priced with most dishes around £13. Drinks ordered were a bit of a let down as very slow to hit the table. Food was out the kitchen before drinks arrived. Server although attentive was eager to move us on so felt a bit rushed. Mojito was on point. Look forward to revisiting and scoring this place 5/5.

Although it was a little quiet, Bar Soba is fantastic, and with the discount as a student was very affordable! I’ve been in a few times and every time it’s been fantastic. My server, Theo, was particularly good and gave me good recommendations and was very nice to speak to! Service was quick and the food was very tasty. One of my goto restaurants when I’m with friends.

I had a great meal here with my boyfriend.
We each had a starter, a main with a side, and a cocktail each. The Yellow Dragon is a very cool cocktail, and nice for the decent weather we're having just now.
The food was delicious. The portions aren't the biggest, but it was a great taste.
The problem, thankfully knocked back by his student card, was the price. If we didn't have 50% off food I don't think we would have come here.

The satay sauce is amazing, I would very much recommend the nasi goreng which comes with an egg and it’s perfect.
I wanted to mark it down a little as being as I sat outside when you order drinks to the table and it took 25 minutes even though it wasn’t busy.
That being said I have been back frequently.
