Absolutely the best scone and tea I had anywhere (and I was on the lookout) served with double cream, not clotted cream,. Hidden away upstairs, worth finding it. The surroundings are a cute shop of vintage finds. Not fancy, but fabulous.

Cozy tearoom, friendly staff, offer varieties of tea and have a delicious afternoon tea. Enjoy the environment sip a cup of tea and enjoy every bite of sandwiches, scones and cakes. In an afternoon tea set you will get: scones with cream and jam, sandwiches (at least two fillings), strawberries and different kind of cakes(sponge, tray and more). One set can be a meal of the day. Awesome afternoon tea café. Highly recommended.

Vintage café in West-end with an authentic ambiance. It takes you back in time while having your tea and brownie fudge pecan. It was vegan and extremely tasty. You don't just bump into this café ... it is a little bit hidden. Nice and quiet on a week day and busy on a week-end.

This is a fab cafe designed in a 1950s style where you can even buy the ornaments on display! Their cakes are lovely, you can taste the flavour, unlike many cakes that look nice but are just 'sugar'. They cater to gluten free, vegan and most other dietary needs. My favourite is their carrot, coconut and pistachio cake. Sam & Tony, the owners, usually post daily pictures of their cakes so you get an idea of what they'll have before you go in. They also offer a massive afternoon tea; if you can't finish it you can take it home in a doggie bag! Without a doubt, the best cakes in Glasgow.

Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea at this little quaint diamond of a place. Food just wonderful and all homemade. Service perfect and tea served in lovely teapots and using strainers. Everything served on vintage china. Trip into the past with all the quirky ornaments and furniture. Vintage cuteness. Couldn’t have found a better way to celebrate our sister ending her cancer treatment. Thank you so much to the lovely owners. CRL

Step back into the 1950s for your lunch or afternoon tea. We happened on the Cup & Saucer completely by accident (we were in entirely the wrong arcade!). They happened to have a table available when we arrived but that was pure luck - tables filled up almost as soon as people left. First, the decor / ambiance: The room is a perfect illustration of the difference between retro and vintage. Functional, serviceable furniture with an unmistakable art deco flair is unpretentious but makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. The only "retro" bit I noticed was an adorably kitch microwave. The staff was perfect. They greeted and seated us immediately. We opted for the afternoon tea and from where I sat, I could see it being prepared. Every detail was carefully attended to and we were served a charming feast. A testament to the quality of the experience was that despite being hidden away at the back of an upper floor, in an arcade of a lane, seats were filled almost as soon as people vacated them. In fact, several drop-ins were turned away. I will certainly be back at the next opportunity.

Unique little cafe hidden down a back lane and upstairs above some interesting little shops and workspaces. Food is good, sensibly priced, but mainly the scones are epic. All in the comforting surroundings of a typical mid C20th front room, give it a try!

absolutely lovely place spotless and food is AMAZING especially the afternoon teas! :) Owners are always happy to chat and this place is great if you have dietary requirements as everything is homemade. Cannot recommend this place enough! No more than a 3minute walk from Hillhead subway. As for the decor it is true vintage and stuff isn’t just made to look like it. If you visit here I would recommend visiting Ruthven Lane just across the main road as it is full of vintage shops!

A friend insisted we go here. I was in my element - so many items my grandmother's generation treasured and kept for best! Service was fantastic with lovely attention to detail. Really welcoming and informal - I did feel "like I was at my aunties"! Lovely loose tea, china cups, tea strainer and proper sugar cubes. Will remember this afternoon for many years to come - can't recommend enough! If you want to do something different in Glasgow - this is a hidden gem

In an area polluted with coffee shops all looking similar, serving similar, and attaining similar highly average standards, The Cup and Saucer dares to be different. It's retro, a throw back to 50s 60s. Offers a range of seating types. Coffee is far better than other places. Cakes etc are made on the premesis, and in a home baking style, but made to a very high standard. This place is far more personal than elsewhere in the neighbourhood and is one of the west end hidden secrets.

One of my favorite places - there's nowhere else like it. The afternoon tea is particularly good, service is friendly and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed. Very authentic vintage feel.
